Hi, I'm new here and had a question. Does anyone know where to look to find families in KY? We are moving there and want to find a family there but don't know where to start. We're looking for an attorney or an agency...We're moving this week. I'm due in April, so we don't have lots of time left. Please PM me if you know of a good agency or lawyer in KY that has families we could look at. Any help would be great.

We've tried to look online, but can't find anything...we really want to go directly to an attorney (our first choice) or an agency (our second choice) first (before contacting families directly)...we're just starting to freak out that we can't seem to find anything, and we really wanted to get things going once we get there next week...just need to know where to look.

Thank you for the links taramayrn. I will check them out now. If anyone else has attorney or agencies in KY that they could recommend or know of, please let me know. We want to check out everything we can. I've been reading these boards for a while now, and I really love the sense of community without any pressure. I'm looking forward to posting more here and getting to know more people.

There is a site of adoption attorneys (not sure if I am allowed to post the link) but I think its called the american acedemy of adoption attorneys. The attorneys there are listed by state.

You might also want to check out the profiles for KY on the host site - many aparents put their attorneys name in their profile. Doesnt mean you have to choose that profile but it might give you some ideas.

I think the most important thing is to get an attorney that specializes in adoption. Knowing the law in the state is critical for making sure everyones rights and wants are protected.
