I am an adoptee and amom. I think you will find that some bmom's had luck on the internet and some had awful experiances. That is not to say you will. I was more comfortable, as an amom, going through a non profit agency. All fee's collected go directly back into fostering care, counseling, medical support for the birthfamilies etc. All aparents get a thorough background check and home study. The adoptions can be open, semi-open or closed. It is YOUR choice. You let them know what YOU want and are comfortable with as far as finding a family for your unborn child.. Maybe you can at least talk to an agency and if you decide to take that path you can refer any potential Internet contacts to them ? Just a thought....

That's what I did, for all the reasons you mentioned!!! I had just seen a lot of talk on the boards about finding Aparents on the internet...and wanted to know how many people here acatually went that way, because it overwhelmed me when I was trying to sift through ALL those web pages!
