ISO Pouliot family in CT

I am searching for my siblings. There are 13 of you out there. My mothers name was Catherine Matties and Fathers name was Roland Pouliot. I was born in 5/1952 in Hartford CT. I do know my birth parents eventually married eachother and that at least 6 of you are my full blooded siblings. There are two older sisters that were also relinquished that I would like to hear from also. I found out recently that both birthparnets passed away in 1994 (months apart). You may contact me at mary1900@optonline.net. If anyone knows any of my siblings please also write me. I know some of their first names. There is Dennis Pouliot of Buffalo NY, Sonny Pouliot of Manchester CT,Russell P. of Lebanon CT, Fernand in Boston MA and Lisa and Barbara whom I do not know their married names. I believe they were raised in Coventry CT. They would be in their late 40.s and late 30's.

I would assume that you have already run a white pages search for these names....?
There are 56 Pouliot's listed in CT.......I am looking thru them right now!
I would also suggest going to Ancestry.com or MyTrees.com (as well as other ancestry/genalogical websites) where they have surname message boards. That's how I ended up locating my maternal birthfamily. I had to sift thru 700 postings, but I found a gal who was looking for information on her great grandfather, who supposedly died in the county where I happen to live. It turned out that her great grandfather and my grandfather were brothers......
I will let you know if I turn up any matches on the names you have!
Keep us posted!
Hugs,
Sally

You're welcome!
There are something like 174 postings in the Pouliot surname message board....and several under Matties, as well.
I would suggest you go to ancestry.com and post there.....post everything you know, and see if someone there has some clues for you!
Keep us posted, okay???
Hugs,
Sally

I really appreciate all the information and actually I was up all last night and use my credit card and people search and got all the address and phone numbers that matched a obituary on my birthfather. Now need to courage to proceed with caution. I know about then which doesn't mean they have a clue about me. again people that try to help others like yourself are very welcoming : ).
I will tell you though that I had already gone to ancestry.com and posted threads on numberous sites before I was able to piece it all together with the help of my original adoption papers I got my hand on many years ago. I also got to much information from CC when I called for medical information, so telling me my birthmothers first name wasn't the smartest thing he could have done and then told me she married my birth father later in life. I still want to proceed with caution not only for myself but for them also and my family. I think we sometimes jump into the water without testing it. Thanks a million Sally

I have found my birth family and meeting my brother this sept. 11th for the 1st time. Our parents are both dead and he is a full brother. Wish me luck as I am nervous at all heck. I have received a picture of him and sent many of my family (husband and kids). I waited 5 months from the 1st time he knew of me to get a response back. Patience worked well for me and if I had pushed it anymore then we would not be meeting. I knew he had to be concerned about my motive as well. PLEASE say a prayer for me that all goes well.
