Baby Girl Bridgeport, Ct July 23 1970

Born on July 23, 1970 at 8:44 p.m., weighing 7 lbs 13 oz. Looking for information on birth mother. Birth Father did not know of pregnancy per the non identifying information supplied by the agency. Birth Mother stayed at Woodfield Family Services. Born at St. Vincents Hospital. Attending Physician Joan Foytho. Maybe someone knows or can help. Woodfield wants a large fee to contact birth mother, and its no guarantee that she will want to be contacted or even can be contacted. Please help. Also, not sure if Connecticut is a state which has open birth certificates. Can someone help with that as well.

Hi,

i was also adopted in June of 1969 and placed in Woodfield except I was born in Bridgeport Hospital.

A few years back I paid the over $400 to Phyliss Feld to contact my birth mother. I have a list of questions that she was able to get most of the answers to. When I asked her if I could take a look at the file she said that it was the property of woodfield.

Do you know of any lawyers that can help obtain such records?

thanks

Hi,

No. I have not thought to contact a lawyer. Do you know anything about this open birth certificate? I have read that Connecticut has changed their law, and you can now see your original birth certificate.
