Guidelines for “Coupon Exchange” Forum

The Coupon Exchange forum provides a place for our members to post coupons they have no use for and willing to donate to another member.

For example – Melissa Member has a coupon for $50 off a Gymboree membership and already is a member. Melissa can post the coupon details on this forum and interested members can then PM Melissa to work out the exchange. Melissa will not charge for the coupon and is strictly donating it to the interested Member.

Please read over the guidelines carefully as this forum must be followed exactly as stated to avoid illegal actions.

Basic Rules:

1. ONLY FREE coupons can be posted. It is ILLEGAL to sell a coupon and the practice of illegal activities on our site is strictly prohibited. Anyone found engaging in illegal posting or activity will be banned WITHOUT warning.

2. Coupons are restricted to family/parenting relevant items. (Formula, diapers, furniture, family activity places, clothing, baby food/other parenting supplies etc.)

3. NO grocery store coupons allowed. This is due to the overwhelming number of scammers and professional coupon exchangers out there.

4. ALL exchanges MUST be completed via PM. This includes any questions or comments you may have regarding a coupon that is posted. You will not be allowed to post on the thread and you cannot start a new thread in response to an item posted.

5. This forum is to be used only by our members using the site overall as intended. No retailers, professional coupon exchangers or scammers are allowed to join for the purpose of promoting coupon exchange for monetary gain or scams. YOU WILL BE BANNED.

6. Coupons can be either online or paper, and any postage requirements needed are strictly your responsibility. All responsibility in the actual exchange is yours and Adoption.Com is not responsible for any part resulting from the transaction.

7. As always, please remember that while we work very hard to catch the trolls and scammers, we do not catch everyone. We caution you on exchanges of addresses or email addresses and you understand that Adoption.Com is not responsible for the content or validity of the exchanges.

8. Any suspicion of trolls or scammers should be reported at once to the forum moderator, Community Moderator or Administrator. If you receive a pm from anyone not following the guidelines, attempting to sell you a coupon or otherwise engaging in illegal activities, forward the pm to the moderating team to address.


Format for Posting:

1. Click on “New Thread”. This will bring up the rules agreement. After you read and agree to the rules, click on “I agree”. Once you’ve clicked on that, a post box will appear for you to write your message with your coupon details.

2. Coupon details should be limited to basic necessary information. You may not link to a retail site or other non-allowed site regarding the coupon. No linking to the actual coupon or pasting a picture of it.

Example:
Incorrect: “Kohl’s coupon for $50 off! Coupon number 1239872345095”
Correct: “Kohl’s coupon for $50 off on baby item”

3. This forum is not segregated nor in place to promote “favoritism” We strongly recommend that you be fair and exchange on a “first come first serve” basis. We will not allow posts saying, “Open to any Aparent member” or otherwise specific title etc. It is open to everyone.

4. Once you have completed your exchange, you will be able to post an “Item has been donated” and can close the thread.

Any thread that is closed means the item has been donated or is no longer applicable. If you see a closed thread; DO NOT PM the member regarding the item.
