I am sure that most of us have heard about Dr. Phil, he is on Oprah alot and gives advice to people about all kinds of things. He has his own show now, and will be doing shows about adoption. I think that this would be a great opportunity for birthmoms to get a chance to educate the world about our side of the story, and clear up misconceptions and myths that will never go away unless we make them. Also what an opportunity to teach people about open adoption. When I first released Cole I went online and wrote to many talk shows about having adoption as a topic, and including the birthparents. A year later I am still waiting....
Wouldn't it be unbelievable if he got flooded with requests by birthparents to be guests on his show?!?!?!?!?!?!!! I think it would be wonderful for adoptive parents who are supportive of open adoption to be able to be heard as well. I am definitely going to fill out a request right now and I encourage everyone who takes part in these forums to do it too
