I am looking for poem ideas...

Hi all!

I have read through almost every poem in this forum and haven't been able to find what I am looking for. I have started a scrapbook for my son and have some pictures of my son, his amom and me from a day we spent together when he was 6 months old. I am looking for a poem about two mothers or something similar. Legacy of an adopted child is the closest I have come, but it doesn't quite fit because we have met face to face. If anyone can help I'd love the advice.

I don't know if this is what your thinking but I think my father-in-law changed the words a bit. You might be able to find the original somewhere.

TWO DIFFERENT KINDS OF LOVE

Once there were two women
Who hardly knew each other.
One you will remember as " Best Friend."
The other you will call "Mother. "

Two different lives shaped to make yours one;
One being your birth mother,
The other your adoptive mother.

The first gave you life;
And the second will teach you how to live it.
The first gave you a need for love,.
And the second will be there to give it.

One gave you nationality.
The other gave you a name.
One gave you the seed of talent.
The other will give you an aim.

One gave you emotions.
The other will calm your fears.
One saw your first sweet smile.
The other will dry your tears.

The age old questions through the years;
Heredity or environment –
which are you the product of?
Neither, my grandchild, neither.
Just two different kinds of love! -
