Why won't the adoptive parents send me pictures

Hello-
I know my story is not a particularly positive one, in any aspect, but it was agreed I would get pictures of my daughter along with updates as well. I do not understand since I wrote them a letter explaining I needed pictures and why I needed, the adoptive parents can't hear me. It's as if they refuse to acknowledge my daughter was not their natural child. They knew the agency got her by coercive illegal means but did not bother to do the right thing or even at least apologize and offer to let me see my child. Nothing they have what they wanted now it's go away and don't bother us, we don't care that we agreed to pictures or updates. I just do not understand that attitude at all.

Brandy,

Could your social worker or agency contact the Aparents about the pictures and letters? I think it is despicable that the Aparents did not follow through on their promises. I hope many Aparents will read posts like yours and realize the pain they cause when they fail to follow through with their promises. I don't think some Aparents realize the pain that they cause. However, that is no excuse. I am very sorry that you have been treated this way.

I was suppose to get pictures and updates as well and never got any. My daughter is 18 now. A family friend just sent me picturs for the first time. I am so sorry you have to deal with this. I know how you feel. I will pray for you! Good luck!
