one day a beautiful baby boy was given to a family to love and care for.They were told he needs a good permenant home full of love and gentleness patience and understanding..
This precious baby was born drug addicted to almost 11 major drugs and alcohol as well...he was the 17th child of the bmom
yes 17th!!!....over the next few weeks the family walked the floors carried him room to room massaged his poor swollen tummy and did what ever they could to soothe the tired aching body of this sweet baby who had been so carlessly discarded
by his bmom...weeks turned into months and as the family prayed for this little angel thier love for him grew also.
He was becoming a happy contented baby boy and the pride and joy of his family.......
Wish i could say the story ended here in total joy....one day the adoption worker arrived to have a look see at these parents who could not stop babbling about their precious son...As she entered the house she noticed a fresh clean home with pictures and plants and happy smiling faces from the family that lived there..What she also noticed was these faces were not all the same color.....the wee small baby was brown with beautiful black shining eyes where once a shallow shell of a baby had been...the family was blonde with brillant blue eyes...three days later...the worker called trying her best to convince the family that the love of thier life was really not in the best enviroment
...that the child needed parents of the same color.......(and since this little lamb is only in Foster care he can be removed from his broken hearted family) Even if you do not agree with inter-racial adoption Please pray for this God fearing family that the will of GOD be done...and little #17
will get the family he deserves.......

Thank you so very much for sharing this prayer request. I pray not only for this loving family but for the social worker. I pray that this sw will have the wisdom, confidence and assurance of true family love. My heart goes out to this special caring family. I wish there was a way that this sw could gain an understanding for the bond that has taken place with this child. There are many parts of the country that this type of family is fully accepted. Some even admired. I would be interested in hearing from this social worker that she may lend us her rationale. I will pray, pray, pray. The Lord is in control.

Your post is beautifully done and a real heart breaker. I will also pray long and hard. Society needs to change its attitude about color and love. If all of us who know the true meaning of love and that it is color blind, can help others to see the truth, maybe we can start to change things for the better.
