I will keep your family in prayer Drama ... when tragedies like this happen it is so overwhelming and painful. I hope that your family knows the Lord, and can dwell of their faith through this time.

Just remember to take care of yourself as well as your family during this time. This way, you can be there for them.

Also, thank you for your positive thoughts about tomorrow. I can imagine that today has been very difficult for you, and it means alot that you took the time to post a good luck post to us.
If there's anything else we can do, let us know!

Prayer After Prayer Will Follow You Darma

Courtney is correct when she mentioned in her post that several of us are holding this board up in prayer. Part of our prayer that I just recently e-mailed to Courtney is: that whomever posts (to this board) God allows to do so and His purpose will be done. Now comes your post... I trust that God is at work. I prayed and prayed the night my parents house burned to the ground and asked for a Christian to be there for my parents. I flew the next day as I sensed I should be the Christian to be there for them. It has made a difference. We did not lose any lives in that fire. I am so very saddened by your family's loss. I do not lose sight of the mighty things that God can do. It is so beautiful to see Him at work already through your church. I will continue to hold you all up in prayer. Knowing that prayer has gone before you and as Romans 8:28 states that "God does work all things together for good to those who are called according to His purpose." You have been called according to His purpose Drama. I sense the strengh that the Lord does provide for you as well as compassion for others.

As you go to minister to your beloved family please take this verse with you from Joshua 1:9 "Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified, do not be discourged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go." You are in my prayers. I pray that the Lord will open the door to their hearts for the comfort and love that only Jesus can bring.

Thank you for you consideration to ask for prayer on this board that others went before you to cover in prayer.

Hugs,

Sabra

Let the Light Shine Through ...

I didn't know that he was a Christian ... but after I read the article I was amazed. In everything he paints, he adds light.

He says, "Most of all, light exists in the dimension of the Spirit. It was what God first created and is probably the most consistent metaphor in all of Scripture. Truth is represented as light, and in Matthew 5:16, Christ affirms that each of us should, "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." But light is something you can't hold. You can't touch or taste or pin down its subtle, constantly changing effects. As a painter, light is the essence of what I try to captrue on canvas-a light that dispels darkness, that chases away confusion and despair." (Guidepost Dec.2000)

Go tomorrow Drama .... as a Painter of Light.

my love,
Courtney

Prayer

Father God, Jehovah-Repheka, You are the healer, and I ask You Lord, that even now while this family is in the limbo of shock, that You send forth angels of mercy to help You heal their lives and hearts. I ask that according to Your Word that You be their, Jehovah-Jireh, their provider, and that You will send laborers into the harvest to replace what they have lost. I pray, that by some miracle the missing children are safe somewhere, being looked after. I ask Father, if You have claimed them for Your Kingdom, that You send forth Your Spirit to comfort, and encourage the family in their loss. I pray for Your mercy and love for all. I would ask that You gather them under Your wings as a mother hen would her chicks, and let them know in their hearts and spirits that You are there with them. I ask this in Jesus" name. Amen Irene*
