So lets see... all about Brown:

Family: married to an awesome guy who is hot and likes football Not raising any kids.....yet B-mom to my awesome DD who will be 18 next year. I have a semi open/closed adoption, contact with her mom.

Pets: none. My landlord is mean.

Beach status: 20 min from ocean, 5 min from rocky old sound beach. You will find me at one or the other on any given weekend/holiday that is sunny and over 70 degrees. Pools are OK too.

Cold drink preference: depends. Wine is fine, beer works, beach type cocktails always welcome!

TV: Trashy! Mind numbing entertainment, the cheezier the better (tho I do have limits!)

Music: 80's 80's 80's

Books: all the time reading. Maybe one day you'll read one of mine

Billysmom - I would also like to enroll my almost 6 year old in your angelic boys class. He could manage to get into trouble sitting on the floor in an empty room!

Lovemy2boys - Where is Canadian Lakes? I lived lived here all but 3 of my 39 years and I have never heard of it.

Courtney - I forgot you were part of that thread! We should bring it back. Though not the running part!

Brandy - I would be fine with my ears growing if my rear and hips would stop growing! But what exactly was in that fruit cocktail???

What are you writing??

Canadian Lakes is east of Big Rapids, West of Mt. Pleasant (but def. closer to Big Rapids).

And isn't fruit coctail that stuff in a can? Is there a gourmet in our midst?

Brown - I love 80's music, even though it can be a soundtrack for most of my embarassing, angst ridden teen memories...

I should probably send Brandy some Spam to go with that fruit cocktail.

Debbie - who isn't so sure about all this 80's music stuff!

Wait! I am taking a stand against Spam, remember?!

Though considering my kids are currently eating hot dogs (all beef at least and in whole wheat buns) and tater tots for dinner you are probably right!

We're having Corn Dogs.

Honestly, I think Spam gets a bad name - I do make this awesome Spam dish that everyone who eats it, loves.

Even the Spam haters.

(I like 80's music, if that helps my cause at all)

DPline - make sure to keep your son away from my daughter! I say the same about her...always into something.

For the rest of you - is Spam really edible??

Love, 80's music is the soundtrack to most of my embarrassing "adult trying to pretend I'm still a teen" angst ridden moments ! I'm watching a sweet 80's one hit wonder marathon on VH1 right now (my fave channel!)

I'm currently reading "New Moon" right now, so that should help my cause, LOL!! I fought the trend forever until my niece talked me into it.

Crick, right now I write to stay awake at work, LOL! Sometimes I send TG silly chapters from my old school projects (LOL!) but I'm attempting to write some chick lit for all you non Twilighters out there!

Sorry D, not a Spam fan And even tho I do like to work out, I'd TOTALLY rather discuss shoes than running any day!

Katja here birth mom to a 7 year old boy (oh my where did the time go).
I'm about 5 minutes away from the Puget Sound so if that counts as "beach" add me to the tour if not perhaps a day trip to the WA coast could also qualify me
I'm was laid off in October, am more than 1/2 through my masters program, and am working a part time retail job.
Oh and TG perhaps you could put that bartending experience to use I like (almost) anything with vodka in it.

Okay, y'all need to know NOT to take any cooking advice from Brandy. This woman LIVES on tacos, okay? That's all I'm saying...and oh! she does NOT like chocolate.

She is however your woman if you want to remember something without googling. Seriously, her memory is sharper than anyone else I know. (see B, I'm NOT always mean to you. pssshhh)

Okay I don't get this. You feed your kids hot dogs but take all the fun away from the junk factor by getting them whole wheat buns?? Poor kids! What's for dessert? Oh wait ya, it's fruit cocktail. LOL!

Love - ya, we don't want these two cooking. One will make us eat nothing but tacos and spam and the other will allow us the beef but only with the healthy bun. I say somewhere on these beach tours there have GOT to be gourmet cooks just hoping for a chance to see us live on tour.

Brown- I tried to fight the Twilight trend as well. I was first introduced to the book while working at a group home for adolescent girls with behavior...shall we say "issues" the entire house was Twilight crazy so I wouldn't go near the books. Finally I gave in and was surprised I actually enjoyed them (the second was my least favorite by far though).

Welcome Momma! WA has to be included in the Pacific Northwest tour. What is your masters in? Cooking I hope? We obviously are in need of a gourmet chef.

Brown - I've never read the Twilight books (DUCKING from Love and TG and whoever else likes really pale sickly looking men with red wine lips) so I'm your audience! LOL!

Crick please I dont need a degree to cook I learned from the best my momma and gram. And I cook without measuring cups. Mexican, italian, german, soul food whatever it is I'm your girl...oh and I bake too.

My masters is in social work because apparently I'm a slow learner. 2003-Associates with a certficate in Social Services can't find a job 2005 Bachelors in Social Work can't find a decent job then finally work my way up and get laid off. So coming in 2010 an MSW and if I can't get a job with that I plan on getting a phd...yep definately a slow learner.
