Dixie chicks were awesome when I saw their top of the world concert - so good.

Paul McCartney was AMAZING to see - just because it's like, holy cow, it's paul mccartney! (Seen him twice though, first show was WAY better)

And Journey STILL rocks, saw them a few weeks ago!

And now that I've established some "street cred" by talking about legitimate concerts I've been to....I must also throw in another one that I'll likely take some heat for. I went to the NSYNC Pop Odyssey concert - and it was pretty awesome. The whole production of it was just nuts.

Okay, seriusly, stop laughing, yes, I went to an NSYNC concert. And no, I wasn't taking a younger cousin, sib, whatever. I was like 17. Deal with it

I was a grunge babe in Seattle in the early 90s and just went to shows all the time. But the best was a Lollapalooza with Pearl Jam, Red Hot Chile Peppers, The Jesus and Mary Chain and Ice Cube. I got to the front of the stage (before Red Hot Chile Peppers) and was moshing around. Next thing I know, throngs of people come rushing forward and I pass out and get "passed over" the crowd to a safe zone (what a l.oser!).

I just saw Pearl Jam again a few weeks ago. Eddie Vetter is the hottest.

My biggest regret? I have yet to see Neil Young live. I want to desperately.

OMG LA - I was at the same Lollapalooza! (Why I think it's weird I'm not sure as there were thousands there!) It was awesome! I too, would love to see Neil Young.

In Seattle, Paige (or was it Brentwood or whatever funky place was where they had the show)? That is too funny. Maybe you helped pass me over the crowd!!!

I just got an email from an old flame from Seattle yesterday (I haven't talked to him in 15 years). Are you there? Maybe you could do some recon work for me (without telling DH...hahahah!).

I'm in Olympia. I'd be happy to do a bit of snooping, lol! I was at the Seattle show. We probably bumped elbows a time or two at the music scene!

Two years ago I surprised DH with 2nd row tickets to see the Red Hot Chili Peppers for his birthday. I can say without a doubt that was a favorite concert for both of us!

Dave Matthews (not the band) & Tim Reynolds, acoustic, early April 2003. Right before I found out that I was pregnant with the Munchkin, actually. Anyway, the music was OUTSTANDING and he played some rarely played songs. And it was just a wonderful night of music. Then he made some crappy solo album and the next band album sucked too and I got jaded with his style. So, that's the climax of my love affair with Dave.

I saw Aerosmith but enjoyed the opening act more: FOUR NON BLONDES!!!!!

But until I see Zeppelin I will never be complete. Not likely to happen any time soon

I love Pearl Jam and Eddie Vedder. I used to belong to a mailing list his firstmom is a member of, she is SO proud of him!

1-4-2009 Mom and I visit Kiddo despite the bad weather. He really loved the blue mittens I made him and even helped me plan my living room. Apparently Hot Wheels wallpapper is the way to go.
2-16-2009 I got a promotion, that comes with a raise. Mom and Dad are visiting and we're going to Al's for pie to celebrate.
4-27-2009 Dad surprises me with a Lady Ugly Stick (an awesome fishing rod that is pink) and a 2nd Iowa Light Artillery Battery jacket. I'm a lucky girl!
5-30-2009 Kiddo turns five. It is hard to believe he is that old already, it seems like just yesterday he was being born. I was at peace for the first time on his birthday, what a nice feeling.
6-13&14 2009 A cannon live fire in Casper WY. We got third place and I got to see Devil's Tower for the first time, it was pretty awesome.
7-4-2009 Amelia the kitten comes to live with me and Liz. Talk about jealousy, Liz will adjust though.

Belle, I had no idea Eddie Vetter was an adoptee. Geez....I picked the wrong adoptee to marry (Eddie was hot for me in the early 90s.....hahahahahh!).

He was just on a solo tour...I had tix but couldn't go because I was traveling. I was so flipping annoyed! He has the most beautiful song out now called No More (War). Needless to say, not only is he hot but his politics are up my alley as well.

Stormster, you don't need to see LZ live...just watch Song Remains the Same over and over and over (I used to! heehee!). Btw, I am a monster Roxy Music/Bryan Ferry fan but never saw them live...I bet it was great.

Jenna, I was visiting Chicago and there was a big controversy that Dave Matthews' tour bus dumped its "toilet" in Lake Michigan (or maybe one of the rivers, I forget). I can't listen to him anymore because I dunno...all the songs sound alike to me now for some reason.

Ugh THAT is such a turn off!

Love, I do watch it: over and over and over. I also have every Robert Plant solo CD including his new blue grass stuff. It's beyond loving him. I want to BE him. Even the old man him!

And Roxy Music: Summer night, Beacon theater in NY (early nineties I guess) and third row center. Best atmosphere ever. It was very romantic lighting and fans blowing it was just magic.

And I just want to add when I saw Prince I had Whitney Houston next to me (literally) with Bobby Brown next to her and she was singing Purple Rain. Like in my ear. And Madonna was right in front of me (I remember her hair was very damaged LOL)

Can you tell I used to date a rock and roll publicist?

I have such wonderful memories of concerts that I had forgotten. Thanks to the OP for starting this thread!

That is the one we went to!!! My GRANDMOTHER bought the tickets and she bought 3 so that I could invite a friend. We loved it!!
She then bought tickets to Bette Midler!!!!! I told her that there was going to be some language and that didn't bother her at all!!
Going to see Candlebox in a few weeks up in New Hampshire!!
I want, want, want to go and see Alannis in Boston next month.
I saw Pink a few years ago with a coworker and her daughter, really surprised a lot of people when Steve Taylor walked onstage to sing a song with her.
