OT: Odd food likes....

I have this friend on here who I swear has the oddest ways of cooking her food. Her latest is peas sauteed with onions, butter, and SUGAR. Now I don't know...this might be some gourmet delicacy I should try but it sounds just ODD.

So now fess up everyone..what are things you eat that make other people go "WHAT??"

Here's mine...I love smearing tortillas with jelly, put them together and then pan fry the outsides in a bit of butter. (Paula Deen's scale of BIT of butter)

One thing we have is at Christmas time, we take the left over turkey heat it in chicken gravy, make waffles and pour it over and eat it. It's a Pennsylvania thing that we have traveled with all our lives.

Oh Michelle, I do one with jelly and mustard and meatballs.

Crick I'll try yours if you try mine??? People who marry into our family are very sceptical at first but once they try it they can't get enough. LOL

I like potato chips and mustard, dill pickles from the jar, sliced radishes on a piece of buttered bread or sliced cucumbers.

Ummm, not sure what else...that's what I came up with off the top of my head .

Speaking of food, gotta run to the store for bread for radish sandwiches too he hee.

I like dill pickles and olives on my grilled cheese sandwich. Other than that...I'm normal...Unlike you all...gross!

We used to have peanut butter and cottage cheese on crackers. My husband and kids think it's gross, but it sounds fairly normal compared to your inventions!

Bobby Flay did a Throwndown show on Chicken and Waffles a while back. I can't remember what city it was in but it could well have been somewhere in PA. I had never heard of it until his show and am still not so sure about the idea.

Though I would take it over any of the other mentioned combos!

Oh there's a whole restaurant chain that serves nothing but chicken and waffles- Roscoe's.

There are here in SoCal, though they might be in other parts of the country as well.
