Ok - I got one for you...When I was younger, my best friend used to eat Peanut Butter and Miracle Whip sandwiches...

And my DH dips his pizza rolls in cocktail sauce (don't ask me why)...

And for a while there, we went through a whole "Elf" thing where my little guy wanted to dip everything in maple syrup...thank heavens that ended.

As for me? Can't think of anything right now...I guess I'm the only "normal" one in my bunch - haha

I'm kinda normal. I do like to dip my McD's fries in vanilla ice cream though. And I LOVE creamed tuna with peas.

My nephew won't eat a hash brown patty without grape jelly on it. My son dips everything - go to McD's and will dip his nuggets in the carmel dip, ranch dip and ketchup.

I'm from Buffalo, NY - wing capital of the world. So pizza and wings is a staple here. Many people will pour the blue cheese dip for the wings onto their pizza. That is gross.

But if you want to try somehting really good, cook your baby carrots in ginger ale. It's great!

Ok, ok, if everybody's confessing, I will too! My secret food cravings:

1) Potato chips smothered in Tobasco Sauce

2) Graham crackers topped with mayonnaise

3) "Hot" spaghetti ~ the spaghetti sauce is made with chopped and whole hot chile peppers (Toredo Santa Fe Grande peppers are best; you fry the peppers and garlic in olive oil), tons of garlic, and either dark molasses or dark brown sugar. YUM!!

Hungry? You all are hungry after reading this?? LOL!

The mayo thing seems to be common and I've just never thought of mixing that with anything other than sandies or salads really. I do use it for grilled cheese but that's on the outside only. Instead of butter, I use mayo and then they don't burn when you cook them.

Oh wait...I just remembered..I do like to dip asparagus in a little bit of mayo. But that's normal.

Raven - my mouth would shrivel up from heat and die if I ate all that spicy stuff! Wow!

You all are weird...lol. Honestly I can't think of anything that I eat as being weird. I'm sure by the end of this pregnancy I'll come up with some weird concoctions.

I used to put sugar on my raw carrots. Then there is the peanut butter and butter/margarine sandwiches. All though cream cheese and peanut butter makes a good sandwich as well.
Syrup on my scrambled eggs.

ew - syrup???

I just shuddered, haha. Although I don't really love syrup anyway. Just TINY amounts on things syrup is supposed to go on - you know, pancakes, waffles, french toast. I can't even have sausage or bacon touch syrup. Freaks me out.

At my former place of employment, one of the favorites was a bagel with cream cheese and hot sauce. My friend slathers on the cream cheese, breaks the bagel into bits and dips each bit in hot sauce. My old boss would just pour the hot sauce onto the whole thing. Although he had to do it very early in the day, as his wife was allergic to vinegar and it needed to be out of his system by the time he got home!

The Very Weirdest Thing I Ever Ate

I was born and raised in Southern California, a place where cheeseburgers, tacos, avocados, and fresh orange juice abound. When I was about 6 years old, I was sent to spend the summer with family friends in the Deep South, Mississippi to be exact. I have to say there were a few epicurial curiosities I was introduced to that I think I could have lived my entire life without trying.

My first breakfast in Mississippi involved "Eggs and Brains". More specifically, scrambled eggs combined with chicken brains. And then the kids stirred in Welch's Grape Jelly. Well, like most children of the '50s and '60s, I ate whatever was put on my plate, without any protest. If you didn't finish your plate, you stayed at the table until you did. So I ate the Eggs and Brains with grape jelly...and tried really, really hard not to gag.

Fortunately, the family taking care of me that summer decided not to force me to eat this particular delicacy every day. And I am delighted to report that almost every other "Southern" dish I ate that summer was fantastic, almost heavenly. (I adore Southern cooking!!) But don't ever show me another plate of eggs and brains, please, especially not with grape jelly!!
