I did grow up in the 80's and I had some big hair going some stretch pants that hooked under your foot and long sweaters with a big belt. It was a great look
I am just glad I didn't grow up now. I just don't think I could pierce my belly button:P |

LOL Quantum!
This reminds me of my first day of Jr High Outfit: -Magenta Sweatshirt dress -Black Stirrups -BIG black belt -Black heels (I thought I was SOOOO freaking grown up!!!) Did not have big hair, I had that short feathered on the side stuff. At some points I had the high hair, as long as my curling iron and the Aqua Net cooperated! TG: You did miss out! Jack and Diane is the first video I saw on MTV!

I have to say though that as much as I loved the 80s, I hit my "full stride" in the 1990s when I moved to Seattle in the early days of the "grunge movement." Flying the flannel!
I went to the first Lollapalooza and got passed high above the crowd of thousands...good times!!! (how did I get so freaking old and boring? really! I used to be fun!). |

Awww, you were just a little girl in the 80's. lol! Stop it! Your making me feel old. My husband & I went out to dinner last night. We had this adorable waiter and I asked him how old he was (big mistake). When he told me he was 18, I told him I could be his mother! boo hoo! Then he said his mother was 39, it made me feel worse. lol! |

My best friend at the time had the most beautifully feathered long blonde hair. She would just spray & spray and spray aqua net so that it wouldn't move. Yep, I remember the off the shoulder sweatshirts, black stirrups, big black belt, candie's shoes, members only jackets, slim ties, flock of seaguls, duran duran, lol... Oh and all of the Molly Ringwald movies!! She was the 80's GODDESS!!!! |

My favorite dress was from UNITS--that place where you could buy pieces of t-shirt type stuff that could be interchanged to make different outfits. |

OMG! We had a place in the mall that had Multiples, that were the same as Units!!!!
I loved my pink fluorescent sweatshirt with the yellow fluorescent belt and my black fake leather skirt and the pink and green layered socks. I used to wear them rollerskating!!! Love: I am jealous of the Seattle grunge thing!!! I was not a big grunge fan (interfered with my hair metal and cheesy pop songs!) but once I got it, I loved my flannels and work boots! What a scene to be a part of!!!
