New Timeframe

Hi everyone,

I recently learned that we are number 1309 on the waitlist. We are adopting an infant and are not of Colombian decent. My case worker mentioned that they are currently placing 10-12 infants a month.

She said we probably have at least 3 more years of waiting. We have already been waiting over 1 year so we were pretty surprised.

Has anyone heard about the increase in wait time?

I heard they were now going to tell you how many were on the list ahead of you. I guess its all going to depend on how many Colombian families jump ahead of you on the list. That will of course add time to the wait. But you never know. Maybe it will be a shorter time.

We were approved around the same time as you... So I guess we are about another three years too. Ugh! That's a lot longer then the 30 months we were told. I am sure it will all be worth it though
