Hi everyone....I have been lurking here a lot but only posted once before. My husband and I just received word from our (expletive deleted) worker that we have been approved by CRAN, in Colombia, after waiting for a year. The agency here created a lot of suspense for us by telling us that the age rules had changed at CRAN and we might no longer qualify, but now it looks like we are accepted.

I have been avoiding posting or participating a lot in this forum because I was beginning to think it wouldn't be Colombia, after all. But now I am cautiously optomistic. Our good friends just got back from 7 weeks there and we are planning to meet their son on Monday. Hooray!

Can anyone tell me how to do one of those timeline thingies under your signature line? Now that we've been accepted I feel the need to do one.

We are in Colombia right now adopting our daughter through CRAN. We have been very impressed with this casa. We received our referral 7 months after they approved us, so hopefully your referral won't be far off. Our daughter Anna Marie was 5 months old on her Gotcha day. She was cared for by a wondereful foster family from the time she was born until the day we received her, and we were able to meet her foster mom & dad at the CRAN office. They made a little booklet for her with pictures and a very sweet letter, and told us all about her daily routine and answered all of our questions. We are actually going back to CRAN this Tuesday for a complete tour since we didn't have time to see everything on Anna's Gotcha day. If you have any specific questions, feel free to PM me. The way to do your signature is to click on "update my page" at the top of the page by your name when you sign in. Then click on "edit signature." Type whatever you want in the box, and click "preview signature" to see what it will look like. When you're finally finished, click "save signature."
