Does anyone know what the timing usually is when ICBF requests more information? I am most curious as to how long it typically takes to hear back from them once you've gotten them the info they asked for and also if your approval date becomes the later date or if they back date it to when they first reviewed your dossier? I am guessing you get the later date? Does anyone know or have experience with this?

I just looked up what happened to us. We sent our Dossier to Colombia in November. They asked for more information in March. We got our approval letter in May. The approval letter in stamped May 14th and we found out on May 22. Then on June 20th we got our referral letter dated June 8th, but the referral letter states that the adoption committee matched us with our children at their April 24th meeting. Not sure what took so long. Guessing just processing paperwork.

I know it is different with siblings and not sure at what point you are on the list. Hopefully someone knows.

It took us almost exactly 2 months. My caseworker thought that it may have taken ours longer because it was around the holiday's when everything slows down.
I think our approval date is the later date. Once they have received all the info.

Like I said yesterday in another thread, ICBF requested an addendum to our home study in November, and (because of slowness at our end), sent everything in around March 15. We received word yesterday about the approval. It looks like the traslation and approval took about three weeks. We were told that ICBF has stream-lined the process and we were the first ones they did.

Hopefully yours won't take long, either.
