No, although I think there are several families in the yahoo groups that are. When did you turn in your dossier? Which age are you hoping for? We just turned ours in in October and are hoping for 2 under 5. Good luck and nice to meet you!!!

Hello there! We would like to, but always hear the negative side, never the positive. Anyway, we have livied in Central and South America and are sure this is posible. We have our I600-A appl. in but we are still trying to get our homestudy done. THis is dificult b/c we are living/working in the midle east. But we are on it and have been turned off thus far with agencies.

However, we have been trying to talk to someone in Bienestar and always seem to get the automatic e-mail reply. Do have any connections there with Bienestar or attorneys?? Or do you know the procedure there. We know the wait is long, but we are up for it.

Hey there. We are too looking to adopt 2, but under age 2. You will be our competition! Ha! We are actually just starting the process so no worries! Anyway, we used to live in Colombia and love everything about it and are up for a long wait (I have heard the stories). So now we are just wondering about costs. Could you tell me what agency you are with, if you recommend them and what the costs are looking like. Are the country fees as crazy as Guatemala????? Are you asking for bio siblings or either? Does this effect costs? How long of a wait are you expecting?

Sorry for all the questions. We have been looking at many contries, though our heart belongs in Colombia. We were leaning toward Guat b/c it just seemed so immediate and easy, but we are now coming to our senses and thinking we should follow our original gut instinct and stick with a country we know and love. We still have friends there and figure it would be really cool for our kids to have a connection there. So though we know quite a bit about international adoption, we know nothing about the Colombian process. We are familiar with Bienestar etc, but when we e-mail for info we get the auto-reply.
