We had our conference call with Colombia and our agency today. We have been waiting 42 weeks today for our approval, they say our paperwok is complete, and they expect official approval in 20 to 30 days. Then we start the real wait for referals, we were given an approximate time of 8 months. We are a little unique in that we will accept siblings and are flexible on ages. Referals could come sooner, but we won't plan on it! So we will be redoing our 1600A/I1717H paperwork in Sept as it expires in Oct. We originally thought we'd complete our adoptions in Panama by Dec. 2004, then we switched to Colombia and thought we'd be done in 2005, now it appears it may be 2006 before we complete. Not what we expected or wanted, but that's what we got! And we are too emotionally invested in Colombia to change now. So on we go! Learning spanish, studying Colombia, gettting the house and yard ready for what age and combo of children?, we don't know! Hope everyone is doing good. Anyone just starting, plan on 2 yrs. from start to finish and you'll be fine. Leslie
