Great idea Camera!! We are aparents to 8month old Josh and hope to adopt a sibling for him soon. We are just starting the paperwork again with a different agency than the first so our prayer request would be to have a good working relationship with the agency and that the right bmom and child would enter our lives at the right time. And for PATIENCE as our first adoption took way longer than we anticipated. But it was so worth it. Thank God He's in control! You are in my prayers.

I have adopted a baby girl and she is 2.5 months old right now. Alexandra Nicole..We got her in less than one year.

I will pray that you both find your baby's that God has for you.

What a great thread! We are also in the process of adopting our 2nd baby. We adopted our son (Isaiah) as an infant, and brought him home on our 9 year wedding anniversary. He is
3-1/2 now, and really needs a sibling. We are hoping to adopt a baby girl from Guatemala. All of our paper work is in and we are now waiting for our referral, and we're still a little short on cash. So, our prayer request is for God to bless our finances, or at least to help us be wise stewards of what He gives us. So that we can afford to bring our daughter home when the time comes.

God worked a miracle with our finances when we brought our son home. We were 4,000.00 short when we brought Isaiah home, but when the time came to pay the balance the check cleared. I still don't see how we had enough, but God provided what we needed when we needed it. And now we're praying He'll come through for us again.

I'll check in a couple times a week to pray for all of you as well.

What a great idea! We will pray for all of you, also!

We also are hoping to adopt an infant through domestic adoption. We have dealt with infertility and know that it is God's plan for us to adopt. I have 3 cousins who are adopted and have always felt like this is for us! We are so excited and can't wait!

My name is Deb and my husband and I are awaiting the birth of a baby girl. We've been matched with a birth mom since August through an agency. We have a great relationship with her and we just pray for her and the little peanut and the two of us - that we can handle whatever happens in the next few weeks. Baby is expected to be born within 4 - 6 weeks.

Also - prayers are needed for Karen who went with her husband for the birth of a baby (induced or c-section tomorrow). I know she was very nervous (as I will be too when the time comes!)

Hi, ladies. I am new around here and was so pleased to see a forum devoted to Christian adoption. I was hoping to find some ladies to talk with and pray with! I have an adoptive son who is almost 3.5 years old now, and we have had our file out again since last January. We have had our file picked twice but both fell through - first birthmom miscarried, the second time the birthmom changed her mind at the hospital (we had stayed over at the hospital with the baby all night, but birthmom opted to take the baby home the next morning). Since we put our file back out we have been praying for the "right" birthmom to find her way to us - two times we thought that prayer was answered. I just ask prayer for peace of mind and patience! I feel I give the situation to God and then take it back to try and figure it all out, then give it back, and so the cycle goes!

I would love to pray for your requests. Thanks to any of you who wish to add me to their prayer list! I look forward to getting to know you all!

Happy Tuesday! I love coming here each day to check for new prayer requests. It certainly takes my mind off my own wait for a newborn. I'm so happy to see new people joining us each day!

Deb: I've kept Karen in my prayers since reading on another thread that today was the day. Yahoo. And how exciting for you that you may have a little one on the way yourself. I will definitely say prayers daily for your family, this new baby girl and the birth mom.

Kimmiesue: Welcome to the prayer thread! We are happy to have you join us. Just pray for each person/request daily and we're all going to pray for you too that you have the new addition to your family soon. I wish I understood God's time, certainly would make the wait easier, but I trust that He knows the child for us and when that child is ready to be born we will all find each other.

This is Patrice, my dh and I have been married for 15 yrs, we have 6 bio children, and are anxiously awaiting the arrival of our soon-to-be-adopted baby girl, who is due Jan 30th...

Today is a happy day at our house, it's our 2nd son's 12th birthday!! We are so thankful to have him with us!--I struggled with 13 wks of early labor when I was pregnant with him, had him at 36 wks and 6 days, and then when he was 3 wks old (right after Christmas), he nearly died from RSV...so every year on Dec. 10th at 9:57 am I tell him how thankful I am for him....he gets so embarrassed , and says "Aww, MOM!!!" But deep down, I know he loves it!
