Janet -
What wonderful news! I imagine you are going crazy with excitement! Like Deb, I also am curious of details! I am thanking God for your blessing today! I am so happy for you! Just fyi, when we were chosen for our son, Samuel, his bmom was only 4 months along with him. We, too, were nervous about her being so early, but it actually worked out well because it gave her lots of time to get to know us before the baby's birth. I think that time helped her feel even more comfortable with her decision and helped her prepare herself for the time afterwards. Just thought you might like to hear that. Congratulations again!!

Hello to all--as you can see I am new this this site. It has given me a lot of information on adoption. My husband and I are adoptive domestic parents to be. We have been waiting offically about 9.5 months with an agency. Just pray for both of us to have patience withing our waiting. We know that God has a baby for us but it isn't always easy when everyone around you that is our age is having a baby or just had one. Thank you very much and I will be praying for all of you too

Hello, I am also new to the board. My husband & I are at the 'approved' stage and are waiting patiently
for us to be picked. We also are hoping to adopt an BR or AA infant. Prayers for the right birthmother and patience (which is not one of my strong suits). |

prayer request
We too need prayer please, we are adopting also and need the money to come in by the first of Jan or no later than the 10th of Jan. This was a quick approach to us and God does defineltly have his timing. He is also able to met every one of our needs, for he knows before we ever ask. My prayer for all of us is that we will have as much of a desire to live for Jesus as we do to pursue after adoption. I know for myself that when we do this all things work out. We have adopted twice before and God has proven himself time and time again, It is so hard to stand in faith, but we must all pull together and uplift one another and pray pray, and pray. After this then we can praise, praise, praise.
God Bless all in this glorious adventure he is taking us thru. Gloria

New Developments!
Would you please pray for our soon-to-be-adopted baby's bmom?
She has a court date on Thurs. afternoon, to be sentenced for breaking the terms of her release from jail. We do not know if the judge will sentence her to prison time (which means she would be moved to another city 4 hrs away), county jail time til the baby is born, or send her back to the residential facility for her drug and alcohol treatment. Even if she is sentenced to prison time, they might let her stay in the county jail until the baby is born. The judge who will hear her case is a very Godly Christian man, but that may not make any difference. He may have to follow state sentencing guidelines... We also just found out that the baby is about 99-100% sure to be bi-racial...the bfather (who is also in prison for 5 yrs.) is AA....she had told all of us that he was CC, but that she had another "encounter" with an unnamed AA man, so the baby "might" possibly be bi-racial. All along the bmom had been lying to protect his ethnicity. She wasn't sure we would want to pursue the adoption if we found out the baby was biracial, but we don't care at all. In fact, we are excited!! Six weeks and counting!! Patrice |
