5th match. Please pray this one will work!
Hi!
My husband and I have been trying to be parents for 5 years. We've been trying to adopt for 19 months. We've had 4 failed matches and are currently... matched.

Please pray that this baby ends up where it should and that James and I can handle it if it's a no to us. Our last one we drove from Kansas to Pittsburgh, PA (16 hrs) and after 5 days of nightmarish issues, returned home, empty carseat-ed.

We're nervous, worried and also hopeful that this one will be ours.

Please pray for us and our potential birth mother. Thanks -

WOW, i cant even imagine how difficult all those failed matches have been. You must be very strong people, i wouldnt beable to handle all that. I will be praying that this is the "one" and that you are not disappointed and heartbroken again. God does things for a reason, but its hard to find that reason amongst the pain. I really hope that things work out this time and that you dont go home empty carseat-ed. Rach

2/08-found out there was a problem after ttc#2 for 3 years
6/08- started IVF
7/5/08- IVF Failed
10/08-made decision not to waste more money on IVF excited about adoption
10/08-researching domestic infant adoption agencies
11/08-signed with agency getting all paperwork started
12/08-started homestudy had all 3 apptments in december.
1/09-homestudy completed
1/09-waiting for match!!!

I know that this process can be heartbreaking. We've had three miscarriages in 12 months and now it's kind of like we have post tramatic stress disorder when it comes to TTC or adoption. Sometimes I feel like something is against us but then I just remind myself that our God is the God of LIFE and He wants JOY for all of his children. I will pray that this one is for you and that you can accept His will no matter what.

Aug 2007 started fertility treatments

Dec 2007 gave up and started thinking about adoption.

Feb 2008 started MAPP Classes
April 2008 started private adoption process.
June 2008 Homestudy complete.
July 2008 Officially Waiting
August 2008 Got my darling baby five days after she was born.
God is truly amazing it was only a two week wait.

We got our little Sophia on August 10th and she will be final in court September 24th! We are thrilled, grateful and relieved! Best wishes to all hopeful adoptive parents!

I'm very happy for you and just saw this thread so sending up a prayer of thanks.

I'm adopting through the county so I've had a couple of potential matches that didn't pan out...if you could keep me in your prayers, I would appreciate it as well

4/16/09, 5/12/09 Homestudy...
5/20/09, license comes in the mail
6/1/09, homestudy officially approved (unknown to me )
6/3/09, received a call; after disclosure meeting had to decline
9/29/09, potential match; waiting for full disclosure meeting
10/6, appears relatives applied for ICPC

current status: I think it's back to the 'drawing' board.
