Pregnant!!!

My Husband and I have been married now for three years. We are 23 and 24 years old and were told that we most likly could not have bio children...and yet this weekend 4 pregnancy tests told us we are. We were speechless that God has chosen us to be parents again so close to our other children. I am nervous because we have a 2 year old son, adopted last november, and a 4 month old who will most likly become ours in the next year. I do not want them to ever think that we adopted them because we "could not have kids" we actually did not hear that from the Dr until recently. We had always planned on adopting so not being able to birth a child was not very hard to swallow.

Though we are very excited that in Feb we will have another child to add to our family! Our 2 year old calls mommy's belly his special treat...really cute!!

...We also are currently taking care of a 10 month old so I have a 2 yr old, 10 mon old, 4 mon old...anyone else do their first trimester with 3 under age 2??? Any suggestions??

Thanks

God's little sense of humor, that's what we call Castle who came to us through and unexpected private domestic adoption when our bio boys were 10 and 14 years old. CONGRATS on your pregnancy, it will all work out because it's the way GOD planned it. I had the hardest time getting that through my head when our daughter came along, just when I thought "I" had it all worked out.

Well, not quite. I did my first trimester with two under the age of 1, though. I thought it would be smooth sailing after our foster daughter went home to an aunt. But then we were almost immediately surprised with the birth of our daughter's bio brother. I felt exhausted for my whole pregnancy. I think part of it was that it was a new experience and it was a lot to try to figure out how to take care of myself while also taking care of the babies. My only advice would be to try to cut back on activities and accept help. I think I tried to do too much. Even in those early weeks, your body is working so much harder than it normally does.

Congratulations!! What a wonderful surprise!!

Oh, and maybe you'll find this funny. The first thing I thought when I saw my bio son after his birth was that he looked TOTALLY different than I expected. Like I was subconsciously expecting him to look like my a-kiddos or something! Weird.

My best friend was also told she would not be able to give birth...they adopted a boy, 2 sisters, and another boy, then found out she was pregnant!!!

The funniest thing, though, was when she went to the hospital to have the baby. The kids were confused because they thought caseworkers brought babies!!!

Congratulations! It is exciting to have unexpected blessings, isn't it?? Sometimes, though, I wish the spacing was a little different...not enough to NOT want to change it now, though!

Had to laugh about Robbin's friend's kids who thought cw's brought babies. Recently a lady at our church had a baby (bio) and my kids were amazed that 1) the baby was in her tummy and kept growing bigger and BIGGER, 2) that she then went to the hospital and the baby came out when the dr got there. They wondered why the family didn't just get a book, pick out a baby, and go pick it up like we always did. I got to explain that some families have babies from their tummies...a whole new concept for them! LOL
