Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take, but by the moments that take your breath away.
--- Unknown

Bible quotes: Esther 2:7 Mordecai had a cousin named Hadassah, whom he had brought up because she had neither father nor mother. This girl, who was also known as Esther, was lovely in form and features, and Mordecai had taken her as his own daughter when her father and mother died.

My personal favorite:
A father of the fatherless... is God in his holy habitation. God setteth the solitary in families.. Psalm 68:5a,6a

I didn't give you the gift of life, but in my heart I know The love I feel is as deep and real as if it had been so. For us to love each other is like a dream come true. No, I didn't give you the gift of life. Life gave me the gift of you. Author unknown.

About a week before DD was born, a student journalist at MSU called me and asked if I'd do an interview for her series she was doing about adoption. I said sure, why not?
She used several quotes from me but the one I remember very clearly was: "I never thought I would take a phone to the bathroom with me."

I have several quotes partaining to adoption that I love, here are a few...

I prayed for this child, and the LORD has granted me what I asked of him.
---1 Samuel 1:27

I will study and get ready and some day my chance will come.
--- Abraham Lincoln

I asked God, "How much time do I have before I die?"
He replied, "Enough to make a difference"................
