Question Valentine's Day

Is this a religious holiday for you, or a secular one, or do you just ignore it all together?

For my family it is just a fun day to give an extra little something that signifies I love you!

Definitely not a religious holiday. I'm not even sure we elevate it to holiday status in my house. We do observe it.
I woke up this morning to roses, a card and my favorite candy. (DH is getting a night off from cooking).
But we don't go crazy. Eve's getting a giant stuffed gorilla she fell in love with at the store.

It's not religious in nature to me. We don't even celebrate it in a big way. DH gave me a card this morning, we bought the girls each a gift (new leotards for gymnastics class) and they're having a big party at school. I tend to view as a "Hallmark Holiday" but I observe it now that the girls are getting older because the rest of the world makes a big deal of it. Don't want them to feel left out of the fun.

A fun day to say I Love You or I care about you in so many different ways, athough it is secular, it's one that is positive and can be so truly heart warming, especially to those of us who love chocolates and flowers...

A couple days late, but we totally forgot about Valentine's day. My DH and I are living in different states and are really stressed. He worked, I took my son to see his cardiothoracic surgeon. Just another day...

We barely make it.

There are miracles, miracles.

Yeah, life is beautiful.
