ever feel down just because?

I'm feeling down tonight. I really don't know why. I know I'm exhausted, but that's not reason to feel down.

I think it started in Ladies Bible Class tonight at church. Instead of doing our lesson, we were talking about schools and kids, etc (which was my fault, I'm not happy with ds's school this year). Anyway, the teacher of the class, who is an elderly lady, looked at 3 of us in there who are adoptive moms and said: "When I see these kids I teach who are neglected, abused, do not have food, paper, etc. I think of you all who so desperately want kids and I get mad at those parents."

She's right, there are kids who are neglected, who might have physical needs met, but not emotional. Of course, there are adopted kids that way, too, it's not limited to people with bio kids.

OK, that's my ramblings for the night. Just a little down, but the good news is...I have CHOCOLATE on the way!!!!!!!!

Thanks Michelle. The boys were just a bit wild today and then that comment just seemed to bring me down. I am already feeling better.

I'm off to bed!

I think it started in Ladies Bible Class tonight at church. Instead of doing our lesson, we were talking about schools and kids, etc

Might it be that you felt down because although your heart needed to talk about your kids and school your soul missed the Bible study?
I know for myself, if I am planning some type of spiritual study and it gets replaced by ordinary stuff I really miss it. Our soul needs nourishing just as or hearts, minds and bodies do.

Possibly, red, although our preacher had a wonderful sermon after class. We usually do have a very good Bible study in class, but that night, we all had a lot on our minds. There was a death of a very loved elderly man, so we discussed his life, we discussed the school system, adoption, etc.
