Oops, sorry, I forgot to post a verse or thought for today!

Those 3 year olds are wearing me out at VBS this week. Just two days left!

It's been fun, but I am tired!

Todays verse is short, but I think speaks volumes when you think about it. It is John 11:35, "Jesus wept."

This just shows how compassionate he is. He was sadden by the death of Lazarus. While he did raise him from the dead, he was moved to tears. What a loving, compassionate Saviour we have!

Love it...

I have always loved John 11:35 because it shows the "human" side of Jesus. We know that He walked this Earth and felt pain just as everyone else, and it's okay to show your emotion and be in pain when tragedy occurs.

Amen to that too.. He was moved with compassion when He saw the multitudes and had to get away to pray and seek the will of His Father. How awesome to know that He so loves us and weeps over us too...
We do serve an awesome God! I stand in awe of Him...

Matthew 28:20b " lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen."

Isn't that comforting?

Sometimes we get so low in life that we say things to the affect of "I am so alone, I have no one to talk to." Even though it can still be a lonely feeling physically (if that makes any sense), You don't have to go anywhere special and you don't have to say anything magical for God to be with you. That reminds me so much of the Footprints In The Sand poem. We just "THINK" we are alone!

Great verse!!!

Psa 40: 1-3 (NASB)I waited patiently for the LORD; And He inclined to me and heard my cry. He brought me up out of the pit of destruction, out of the miry clay, And He set my feet upon a rock making my footsteps firm. He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God; Many will see and fear And will trust in the LORD.

Ephesians 4:32 "Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you."

This is such an important thing to learn, and yet, can be so hard at times, can't it? I know I tend to let my human emotions get the best of me!

I have to agree that is is hard precept to live up to, but makes ones life so much more joyous when we push on through it...

I'm sorry I haven't posted a verse in a few days. Here's today's verse:

1 Corinthians 10:31 " Whether, then, you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God"

Yes, the living water is the best water to drink, all who are thirsty come.
PS: Enjoy the closing of VBS and see what a great impact it has been on those precious young lives.

Oh I did! I enjoyed it all. It was hard work for me, but the kids all loved it. Just my own two have been so impacted and we had several that do not attend church at all. The kids are worth all the work and frustrations and exhaustion. They always are, right?

July 4th

Rom 8:26 (NASB)
In the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for {us} with groanings too deep for words;

I find this quite comforting!
