In-laws Visit Trip
Hey everbody! My husband's parents leave for Guatemala on Saturday for a mission trip. They will be the first to meet Vannessa! They will be seeing her Saturday afternoon, before they head out into the country for the mission. I'm so excited! They'll take lots of pictures and video. Please pray for safe travel and for a good meeting. And pray for me to have patience to wait until they get back to see the pictures. Love you all.

My In-laws are back...
Hey guys! My in-laws got back into the States late Sunday. They had an awesome trip. They visited with Vannessa last Sunday for about 45 minutes. She is twice as sweet as the pictures show. Grandpa is totally in love, as you can see from the picture. I can't wait to get my arms around her. Thanks for your prayers. God is bigger than we can ever imagine.

This thread made me smile so big! I wish my inlaws were as excited and supportive as yours! I couldn't see the pictures you were speaking of but I'm sure they're wonderful. Was she shy when she met them or did she warm up fast? She is near the age of the child we're hoping to get. How exciting!

She was very shy, but she did sit on my MIL's lap for about 30 minutes. She sat on my FIL's lap long enough to take one picture. She didn't seem afraid at all, just a little quiet. Our facilitator says she's a chatterbox, so I can't wait to see her open up. We're going down in August to meet her. My in-laws are going with us. Hopefully, she will recognize them and feel more comfortable going with us.
My in-laws are wonderful. They actually sold their house in Little Rock and moved to St. Louis to be closer to the grandkids. I think Vannessa helped them decide to do that. (Plus, we have the most grandkids, per capita.) They are a blessing to us.
