hoping for 3

Most of you won't remember me. I posted in late summer. We thought we were getting 2 Vietnamese (U.S. born) boys from foster care in Virginia (where we live). We weren't selected. Then we turned down 2 African American boys (more than we could handle) and a 12 1/2 year old Caucasian girl with severe attachment issues.

Recently I found a sibling group of 3 on the web. Unfortunately they aren't in our county, and our county is being a pain about letting us look anywhere else. So, after doing the inquiry on the web which told me where they were located and supposedly contacted their agency, I did nothing. As usual, we got the canned response "please submit your home study." Knowing our cw wouldn't. I did nothing else.

Imagine my surprise when I called our cw to check in (I do this weekly), and she told me that someone from that county had called her about us. This has never happened before! We really feel God is answering our prayers. Unfortunately the 2 cws are playing phone tag. I'm praying that they will talk soon and that our cw will agree to send our home study. The 3 of us (we have a 14 yo bio daughter) all feel these are our kids.

These kids are 7, 8, and 9 African American and sound like they'd just fit right into our famiy.

I'll keep you posted!

Dawn

Best of luck with the three kids! I do so hope this works out for you. This is a hard road to follow, but we must trust that God will send us the children He meant for us to parent. Let us know how it works out.

I hope you will find out soon if these kids will be yours. It is awesome how God puts families together. I have no doubt our boys are from Him. When we let God be God, it's amazing what gets done .

Blessings.

Not to be

Unfortunately even though these kids had just been added to the web, when i talked to their cw, she said they are in an adoptive placement. Go figure.

So we're back to waiting.

I'm sorry . I know the waiting can be tough. I'm sure you have heard it said before, "your kids are out there", but it is true. God is quite a matchmaker . Take care.

Sorry to hear that. I have been there many times--you're not alone. Hang in there--one day our ship will come in! God has someone planned for all of us prospective adoptive parents. He has a perfect plan in His perfect time. Perfect time tends to take a while and it is work not to get frustrated and impatient! Please keep us posted. It will be so nice to celebrate together on the boards when we all get our kids! (Then we can commiserate about their trauma-driven behavioirs! lol)
