I haven't been on for a while. I had a thread for a while about Reative Attachment disorder. We have yet to see the therapist (long appointments) but in the meantime, the episodes get worse. He had one last night and I had to call the psychiatrist. He is now on an anti-psychotic drug. The psychiatrist says that if he has another episode before he sees the therapist, he has to go to an inpatient mental health facility. I am a single Mom, and I cnnot do this alone. I don't know how much longer I am going to be able to hold down a job.
Advice, support, and prayers are more than welcomed, they are needed! |

I will keep you in my prayers!
I want you to know that if your child has a mental illness there is hope that medications will help him......I come from a long line of Bi-polar and my DH is alsobi-polar and managed this is a liveable situation. I have a friend who's mother is schozophrenic. Last Spring her 17 year old daughter was in a High School class that discussed schozophrenic disorders and her daughter came home from school and asked my friend to get her some help because she was sure she is schozophrenic and wanted help before it progressed. My friend and her daughter have had their up's and down's this past year but, there is hope and her daughter is doing well with medications. Understanding that these mental health issues are no different then a child who may have diebeates, or a heart defect can very much helpe you and your child cope with and move forward. In many ways these illnesses would actually be an easier situation to face then full blown RAD could be alone. There is a lot of understanding in these areas and a lot of support. I will keep you in my prayers..
