Vaccines??
Hi Everyone,
Is anyone else struggling with whether or not to have your children vaccined? Or to only get some and pass on others? I'm really having a hard time with this.

The ones that really have me scared are the Pertussis(whooping Cough) and the Polio. I wonder about even needing some of the others like Rubella since German Measles really mainly cause major health problems and death in Pregnant mothers and their *unborn* children.

Whooping Cough is usually only fatal in infants under 1 yr. but how many cases have there actually been in recent years? this is the vaccine they have documented studies on that it is linked to various types of brain damage, retardation, eliplipsey, Cerebral Palsy, Autism, and even SIDS. That is just scary!

And i just read where we don't even have polio here in America anymore other the the cases caused by the vaccine itself.

I also read where some of these vaccines have mercury in them!!

So I don't know I'm still in the research stages, but Elijah is supposed to get his first shots in a week and we don't know if we want them or not.

They say that by the time children are through being vaccinated they will have had around 36+ doses of these vaccines. That sure does seem like a lot of harmful chemicals to be putting into these little bodies.

Just curious as to what the rest of think about this health issue. At this point I'm just a mom trying to do protect and do right by her little guy. This is such a hard decision!

Judy, sometimes all that information can be scary, huh? I still do the vaccines for my kids, except the flu, I think that is just going overboard! I do home daycare though, so my kids are in close contact with other kids a lot. My sister in law was concerned, so she asked her doctor about waiting until her little one was older for her shots. He was fine with that since she homeschools her older kids, and the baby is not exposed to very much. I think this is just one of those issues where it is very hard to see the clear cut answer!

I'm all for vaccines- as scary as some of the possible side effects might be.
We are foster parents and have found quite a number of the "cured" diseases making there way back into existance because these kids (I know some people choose not to get them- mostly parents who will homeschool or have kids with special needs that make the vaccines dangerous - in my experience!) are not getting vaccines. We have seen a significant increase in whooping cough in this area. Also measles- why put your child through that???
I have heard about polio sometime recently- but can't figure out exactly what I heard.

We pretty much went with the vaccines because the statistical risks seem to lean that direction (that is the vaccines are safer than the risk of the disease). I read something recently (from the AMA?) that the mercury problem had been solved. There is another view that spreads the vaccines out more (several are often given at a time) giving the body a chance to deal with one innoculation at a time. I have a friend who is waiting with their little one (and is getting MUCH pressure from the doctor). While I support people's right not to vaccinate their kids, I have never understood the homeschool angle...these kids will eventually be more "out" in the population where they can still catch stuff. We have an adult friend who just contracted chicken pox from his kids. ???? Many of these diseases are worse for adults?

If you're concerned, I'd talk to your doctor and then do some more research. Don't let them pressure you if you're not ready!

PS, We have friends who had whooping cough last year! All 5 of them were quarantined!!! Many of the childhood diseases are making a come back (same with smallpox).

I've done extensive research on vaccinations and particularly childhood vaccinations and am opposed to the thought of having not only live viruses directly injected into a baby's bloodstream but also now knowing that there are many toxins within these so-called "safe" vaccinations.....

One of them being thermisol.....the FDA tried to have the pharmaceutical companies remove this toxic substance from their vaccinations but had a hard time doing that--all it would have costed the drug companies was 50cents per dose and they fought it.....there are still thousands upon thousands of vaccinations with this toxic ingredient in it on your doctor's shelves and my doctor's shelves....

I am a firm believer that you will see with the rise of vaccinations was also the sudden rise of autism....

The doctor's name is Joe Mercola and I have seen him speak on TV and was very, very impressed with his knowledge and we were particularly interested in this topic since in our family there are multiple children with diagnosed autism--some severe cases.

There is also a great video you can buy probably still from his website (which is where I purchased it from...) and it is a seminar conducted by Dr. Sherri Tenpenny and it is called "Vaccines-What CDC (Centers for Disease Control) Documents and Science Reveals"....

I was shocked to hear that vaccines also contain monkey and other animal components and the problem also lies there with that....

Another problem is you may have one somewhat "safe" vaccine but when it is mixed with another or "married" with another vaccine, like the MMR, that's where some problems lie as well...they are safer when used separately but when combined becomes a much greater risk for damage....this is usually the one given twice and one time at around 18 months or so after so many other vaccines have already been injected into the bodies of these little ones, this one seems to be the one that puts them over the top, if you will, and serious problems manifest in some children....

HOWEVER, there are children that have effects just from the first vaccine given to them....

The one I personally have a huge problem with is the HEP B which is given to the newborn, while still in the hospital (plus, they don't even tell you they've given it to your child....). I am 100% against this one for the reason being that the child is at greatest risk only if the mother has HEP B--and since this is something that can be determined through a blood test of the mother or baby, why not test them first instead of just vaccinating with the HEP B against your knowledge. Also, hep B is a sexually transmitted disease and the vaccine only lasts 6 or 7 years--hardly long enough to reach when your child might become "sexually active." Sooooo, another hep B is again recommended later....

I denied all vaccines on our child but was pressured when the baby was 9 months old and had fallen ill (in another country) so, much to my dismay I reluctantly agreed to have her vaccinated for MMR since she was still in another country....which I prayed the whole time....and am still praying....

You CAN reject vaccines for religious reasons....it is perfectly legal to do so and our adoption agency's director did that for her children after her daughter suffered major seizures immediately following her first vaccination....

When you go to mercola.com there is a dark blue background on the homepage, kinda confusing, but a little ways down it has a place for "search" or search website--that's where you can type vaccinations or childhood vaccinations or complications of childhood vaccinations, or autism, etc....awesome website, awesome doctor....not afraid to tell the truth....

There is alot of mercury in vaccinations which is very toxic to the brain--which is actually this thimerisol component....

We were sickened when we saw the video where the doctor discussed the contents of vaccinations--monkey componenets, etc.....and the problem being them being injected directly into the babies bloodstream....

It's ironic because our baby was the biggest, healthiest baby out of all the babies in the area of her country, yet she had no vaccinations....the most alert, the strongest, the most advanced, etc. and I totally believe it's because her little body was spared these dangerous vaccinations, at least for a while....I will absolutely keep them to a minimum....I would not have even done the first one if I wasn't forced to, at that point in time, since she was in another country, etc.....I think that makes a difference too, depending upon where you are---if you're here in the U.S. there's alot of diseases you don't see anymore, but in other countries, they do...so that makes a difference....

It sickens me to know that there are so many vaccinations now and if you think about it, what a great money making venture to say, hey, lets have EVERY NEWBORN BORN IN THE WORLD given this new hep b vaccination....or any new vaccination they think of....that one vaccine is a BILLION DOLLAR producer for them.....hmmmm...

This video is not bashing vaccinations, per se, it merely states what the CDC THEMSELVES say scientifically about the dangers of these vaccinations that they allow on the market---very, very worth buying and seeing and sharing with other parents...

It also came with an audio cassette....

Go to Dr. Mercola's website, get the video, pray about it, and know that you can ALWAYS add a vaccine LATER if you don't feel comfortable about it now....

Also, please know that just because you give a child the vaccination it does not mean your child is protected 100% against these diseases.....it is not automatic....

Also know, that these diseases from a long time ago were not irradicated by the vaccinations, but moreso by the herd mentality which the video explains......

I understand your concern and your torment about it....it's good that you are concerned--you will probably spare your child alot of physical complications because you chose to become involved....

Also, another thing that I thought was sad was with the recent "flu" hysteria that was going on and all the news media hype about it causing people to rush out and get the vaccinations--most people didn't hear what the real truth was and that was that most current flu vaccination DID NOT PROTECT AGAINST this year's particular flu strain---and they said that---this particular flu strain was the fujian strain and the vaccination was not made for that particular flu virus.....so, the flu shot that everyone was getting was not even protecting them from the flu strain that was causing all the problems this past year....

Again, incredible....that's why we HAVE to research before we believe anything anyone tells us....it's funny because the news and newspaper DID state that, about the strain being different, BUT, it only composed about 5 seconds of the story, if you will, the rest of the time, they were just emphasizing the wrong things....crazy....

I also have a personal interest in this because about 8 years ago I got very, very ill and we never could figure out why and now we've kinda pinpointed it back to when I received several vaccinations at one time these 8 years ago....again, they should not have been given together....so we know first hand the harmful effects....

I understand the concern, but I think the pros totally outweigh the cons and Kaden got all the standard shots. He didn't not react poorly to any of them. I think they were all worth it...I questioned the Hep B a little too, but SO many people get it when they are grown, why not just get it when you are a baby? It is good for anyone who works in the medical field or anything, and I sure don't want Kaden to ever have hepatitis, so I think it's a good thing. It is a little scary, but not anywhere near as scary as children having these diseases!!! I have heard of too many stories of children getting whooping cough and other stuff because they didn't or wouldn't get vaccinated...I just don't get that - seems a little irresponsible, perhaps? Anyway, that's just my two cents...I got Kaden all his shots and I would do it again with my next child as well.
