Need Support

We received a referral in Oct. and traveled in Nov. to meet out son. At that time we were told we'd have a court date within 6 weeks (the norm) to 3 months (EXTREME). Last week we found out there has been delays in the region and we "probably" have a court date in May - 6 MONTHS after we met and fell in love with our baby. I'm trying so hard to be strong but I'm losing the battle. For many reasons, mainly medical reasons (surgery needed that if delayed could result in loss of eyesight in one of my eyes) and personal (our daughter graduates from college in May and because this region requires at least a 3 week stay on trip 2, we'd miss her graduation) we NEED a date sooner. Of course each day he is apart from us is excrutiating and he is losing out on all the emotional bonding and nutrional support he NEEDS.

Help!

Judy,
I am so sorry for the trials you are going through. I don't know how to help however I do know the power of prayer.

I will pray for God's hand to be upon you, your family, and your child. He will strengthen you and help you through this. Remember that He never wastes suffering. There is a reason you are going through this though you may not understand it now or here on this earth.

I will pray for the Lord to work out the details and give you the peace and comfort that only He can give you.

It will all work out Judy. It will be okay. It always helps me to ask the Lord to open the eyes and ears of my heart so that I may hear, see, and receive His Word and His guidance. Ask the Lord to fill you with His Holy Spirit and be open to His overflowing love and compassion.

I wish you all the very best.

In Christ,

T

Hi Judy,

Please, don't postpone your surgery!!! If they say that you will not be going until May then get this done and behind you so you don't have to worry with this once he is home!!!

I will pray that God gives you strength to get through this and have faith that the best out come will happen!! As you know from the Russia boards my husband and I have been through a lot to finally get our referral on Firday...from the country we originally wanted!! God works in mysterious ways and we have to have faith that there is a reason. Take this time to get your eye taken care of so you can see this little wonder in all of God's glory when he comes home.

And know that we are praying for you and your family!

Am Praying!

Dear Judy,

I second the motion - get the surgery! You know at the soonest that your date might be late Feb/ early March, so, as eyes generally heal pretty quickly, you should be well on your way even if you got a notice for March/April. Check with your surgeon. They should be able to tell you average healing time, how soon you could travel, etc. You want two of the healthiest eyes possible to look at your beautiful baby.

As to the date - is there anyone in the agency who could help move things along? And, you know God can move things according to his will, so know that I am also praying for his best for you.

Nancy
