Share Christian Book Titles of Adoption Stories/Journeys

Hi- I would love to hear of books you have read that share true stories by or about adult adoptees, birth parents and adoptive parents, adoption reunions or adoption stories from the Christian perspective. Thanks for sharing about books you have read, heard about or want to review here for us.

Anyone read any books regarding adoptees, birth parents and adoption from the Christian perspective. Share those titles here- title of book, author and your short review of that book - thanks!

I really haven't read any books on adoption from a Christian prespective, but I believe my life from the very begining is a true testament of God's infinite wisdom.

Whenever I reflect and look back over the years and think about growing up with my wonderful family, I am in awe of how God has belessed me. These is no possible way that my family could have been orchestrated by anyone else but God Almighty.

The added blessing is that my parents prayed and sought God's will first and He fufilled the desires of their hearts and that was to be parents.
My Sweet Momma would sometimes write letters to us and I often read them and each time I do I can see clearly how my family is a true testamony of God's love.
I guess though not ever published as book, that collection of writings is in itself a Christian adoption story.

Thanks for sharing your beautiful testimony EZ2Luv! It sounds alot like my adoption story and I too am grateful for the adoptive family I was placed in. And knowing the fragile state my birth mother was in during my birth with her cancer, I am so grateful that abortion was not a legal option in the 1950's. She survived the challenging delivery and I was born 2 mos early but thrived after staying at the hospital.
Thanks again for sharing your beautiful story!

Hi guys I haven’t been a religious person few weeks back but now I am really curious about the whole thing. Its my introductions in this forum (never been in one before). My name is Carl I have some really eccentric questions which I hope this forum will help me with. I came across these questions thought a site witch my friend suggested as I became devout.
Free Christian ebooks |Online Controversial Issues| Bible Mysteries | Christian Books

its some kinda e-book site with very interesting questions. I hope u point them out and discuss it with me.

Hi Carl, thanks for posting. This is a forum for persons touched by adoption, focusing on adult adoptees who are adopted persons. Are you touched by adoption? I am an adult adoptee and active on this forum.

There is a book that I have read, that I have enjoyed. It is written by Robin Lee Hatcher, "Firstborn". It is a story about a Christian family's hidden secret. The wife whom has lived a happy live has a secret from her past, resurfaced. Several years ago, she gave up her newborn daughter up for adoption and years later, her newborn daughter has grown up in search for her biological father. This book was very enjoyable to read.

Thanks Sis84 for sharing about the book "First Born" Itsounds like a good story that those touched by adoption can relate to. It sounds like a fiction book, correct? Secrets were very common in the closed adoption era. I feel fortunate as an adoptee that my adoptive parents told me I was adopted at the youngest age- I don't ever remember a startling discovery or being told- I was so young when they began using the word adoption. Thanks again for sharing this Christian based fiction story that sounds like a good read.

Blessings, Jody
