When I came to believe 13 years ago that God created me and he doesn,t make mistakes that really helped lessen the urgency of the question why.I believe that one day everything will be revealed to me as long as I try my best to do the next right thing.Naturally I want to know now.

My other siblings have the love and support from my birth mother and thier father along with extended family. They are doing well.

My birth mother is an accomplished woman. She is well educated and has been in the armed services for thirty-two years. She is on the Native American Commerative Board as well as an author of a book.

I on the other hand was given a name by an unknown person and placed into foster care, where I was sexually, physically and emotionally abused by my foster father. Later I was contacted by a social worker and told that my foster mother wanted me out.

I look at my other siblings, including the one that was given up for adoption. I see how there is no rejection in thier lives.

I believe that my birth mother loved, wanted and cared for the second child she carried in her woumb and later gave up for adoption. I believe it really hurt her, but she could not take care of her.

I look at all of thier accomplishments, family etc. and I wonder "Why not me?"

Honestly, I kind of wish I never found my birth family. The only reason I can think that it was allowed was to allow me to see where the rejection came from so that I could be set free.

Hello everyone, I made some mistakes, and wanted to come back and correct them. Thanks

My birthmother was in active duty?/armed services for the US military (gov.), now, working for gov.. HR.

She is the author? of a book, but she has not completed it yet. ..My mom, has recently made me aware that she has not worked on it in a bit, so I thought that I would get that straight. Please pray that God would give her the time, energy, and wisdom, to complete her book.

She was w/ NACB (Host), not sure now?

Education/educated in: college, military, life, mother hood, travel.

I would also like for you all to say a prayer for my brother. I don't want to get into specifics, but I would apprecaite all the help with prayer that I can get. I trully believe in it.

One more thing, I don't have anymore regrets of God allowing me and my birth family to cross paths. It has made me much wiser, stronger, and extremely grateful to God, for all that he has done for me. Not to mention, DEFINATELY, has broadened my faith!!! smile.

It is good to hear from you, and to know that you are glad that you have met your bfamily. Also that God has helped you through the times when you thought you couldn't cope. I've noted your prayer requests, and am really pleased that things seem to be going well for you. Praise God!

It's funny how I could be so sure of something one day and then through the course of the journey, God graciously allowed me to see just how different reality was from what was designed in my imagination. It's taught me to trust Him, for He knows that which I do not and He has always had the best plan. "For I know the plans I have for you", says The Lord. "They are plans for good and not dissaster. Thanks for the responses here to the post. It is wonderful to know as adoptees that we were created in the image of God our Father- I know that many adoptees like me who were born into the closed adoption system, long to search and find and see mirror images of ourselves in our birth family members. I searched and found my birth sisters many years ago and was thrilled to see our similarities, it was great and healing. Adoptees understand this need. But as I get further along in my adoption journey, that need is not as pressing as it was before. But I remember the need and how seeing my birth sisters for the first time was so life- changing and surreal! I hope we adoptees can share openly with others touched by adoption and be a voice for young adoptees, who often have many unspoken emotional needs relating to adoption and their birth family. We understand, but often adoptees can be misunderstood in regards to connecting with their birth family and its importance.
