As an Adopted Daughter, I will "put on my garment of praise"
As a twice adopted daughter, by my parents and by my heavenly Father- I enjoyed reading this devotion today by Joyce Meyer! Great for a Monday morning or any day of the week! Start your day of with God and He will walk before you and plan the best rest of the day!! He created the World and so He will do great to order your day when you put Him first.
Blessings, Jody In His Word God has given us the tools we need to help us through each new day. He has given us "the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness" (Isaiah 61:3 KJV). So, when you wake up in the morning, decide that no matter what happens, you will not be depressed today. Put on the garment of praise first thing in the morning. Listen to worshipful music, read the Word, and renew your thoughts to bring them into line with what God says you are--righteous and blessed. You can think right, talk right, and act right all day, if you spend time with God before trials come your way. By Joyce Meyer

Hope many are experiencing a wonderful Monday- new weeks can always bring new beginnings! I joined Weight Watchers today to enhance my Curves workout and feel good about doing that! What new beginnings are you stepping out in faith to try in your adoption journey?
Blessings, Jody Happy Monday!

I LOVE Joyce Meyers! She is so encouraging and great for a kick in the rump to get me out of the "woes" when I need it. Glad to hear her encouragement shared here.
Good for you Jody taking care of yourself. You deserve to feel healthy! Happy Monday to you too. MJ

You never know when you will touch someone on this board. This post caught my eye! I'm in a sign language ministry called "Garments of Praise". They are my biggest support group through my search for my birth family that I started in Febuary. I had did a full search with a PI in 1999, and they did not find anything. I look back and realize that I was not ready emotionaly or otherwise, I had no support system and a failing marraige...it was not the right time. I started this 2nd search due to a very real dream I had...there was no 'interpetting' the dream...everything was very detailed. Sience then I have had maybe 2-3 others. I feel like maybe the Lord is preparing my mind for me to find my birth family. The wait is getting harder each day as I hear from the PI that they still have had no contact. But I will wait. Best wishes to everybody here searching!

Thanks MJ and Lisa for your nice responses to the "Garment of Praise" devotional. I love devotionals and uplifting messages. We all need encouragement and the best source is God's word! It is living and active and transforming!

Found! I posted my good news on another thread here...but just wanted to go into some detail about MY "Garments of Praise" the sign language ministry I'm involed in. Talk about some powerful prayer warriors! I have 20! I got to make my announcement on finding my birth mom on Sunday morning to members of the group. That was sooo great. My birth mom and I will be exchanging letters for the begining of this...so I know the process will be slow and my patience will be 'tested' again. But it's ok...we have found each other....everything now is icing on the cake. Thanks...I'll keep you updated.

Hey guys, I got my first letter from my birth mom today! She sounds alot like me. She comes from a Christian background and has alot of family and friend support! I'm thrilled. I did a full search in 1999 with a PI...and they couldn't find her. Long story short-I was not prepared at all...emotionally or otherwise. Now...my faith is in God alone...and everything has fell into place...the timing was right for the both of us. Thanks for the support here...I'll keep you posted!
