Election Day! We'll be making history - No matter what!!

November 4, 2008. On Election Day, we, Americans from every walk of life, across the country will go to the polls before heading off to work, during lunch break, after another day at the office, or with kids in tow.

We'll be making history, no matter who's elected: We will either have an African-American President or a Female Vice-President.

I don't know about you but I'm so freaking excited! I'll be buying every newspaper that comes out that day to save for my kids. This is history in the making.

Oh, yeah! - I'll also be glued to the tube!

Happy voting!!!

Truer words have never been spoken and this entire election is and has been a very emotional one for me. My youngest sister and her d/h were actually in the stadium last night at the DNC and she described it as nothing less than amazing. She said her only objective was to "feel the roar; NOT SEE IT NOT READ ABOUT IT NOT WATCH IT ON TV BUT TO FEEL THE ROAR... to one day tell her sons that I was there."

My d/h and I have collected OBAMA memorabilia from day 1. We have newspaper clippings, tee-shirts, posters, buttons, coffee mugs and bumper sickers saved and ready to be packed away. Starting today I will begin collecting "her" stuff too.

Its an awesome experience! I am so proud. Tracy

Hi there...I'm not the most political gal out there, but was I bowled over when I found out that MY governor was on the VP ticket! It has been the biggest news shock I've gotten in a long time.

I tend not to vote Republican very often at all, but this is looking like a race I'm going to have to really research. Sarah Palin has done a lot of great work for Alaska and I'll sure miss her if she heads to D.C., but I think she could be great for our country.

I can't believe that there will be someone in the White House who ISN'T a rich, old, white guy! I wonder which way it's going to go...

Free, u are the 1st person I thought of when I heard of this. Son of a gun, great choice. someone who can't be bought.
Seems to me whether u are dem or rep, we finally have candidates with, honor and integrity no matter which way you vote.
exciting stuff!

I’m no just excited about the historic events; I’m excited for the implications of these.

When my daughters grow up, it will no longer be a distant dream, it would be something attainable if they so desire. They can dream of becoming President of the United States.

TGM & Free - We might still have a white old man as President, but in the event that something shall happen to him, then the Vice President will take over – First Woman President (not that I’m wishing ill will to the poor man if he becomes President).

I've read it more than once that if McCain wins this year, Palin will win in 2012...
