Those are so cute Karen. What yarn did you use? Have you registered on Ravelry yet??

Leigh - well I finished the one side seam the other day and it took me less than 5 minutes. So I will do the other side seam, the two sleeve seams and the underarm seams tonight. Should take me like half an hour. My mom is going to help me do the hood because you have to gather it so to speak as it's larger than the back seam.

So I'm mad at myself - I finished seaming together the sweater but sewed the first underarm seam wrong and I sewed in the ends, so that when I tried to undo it I ended up almost unravelling the actual pattern somehow. So ugh - not even sure my mom can help me fix that one. I mean, yes my neice can still wear the sweater and it looks okay, but it doesn't sit as nice as the other side.

The yarn was Caron Simply Soft Baby. They knitted up really nice and I just had to follow the pattern. Of course I had to stop and look up lots of the terms, but I did it!

I did get registered on Ravelry. Seems like there's a lot of information there.

I have been wondering if I should buy the Mason Dixon book - are there lots of good patterns in it Leigh?

Well my mom fixed the underarm seam I screwed up - thank goodness. So one more seam to sew and a button to sew on and then I can finally get this little sweater sent off.

Going to work on my blankie today before work.

Tara - I wouldn't buy it. I just went to the local library for it - honestly I only want to make the bibs (I've made 2 of them, they are great!! butif you want the pattern I'll message it to you - they are VERY basic)

Thank goodness about the sweater!!! Is it a baby blankie you're working on? what's it like??

I finished the baby legs (did I say that already??) got 2 bibs done and one single booty that needs to be felted (and of course the second one of the pair made!!)

I picked up a bunch of worsted yarn that was on sale 50%. I'm going to make up some zip-up-in-the-back sweaters with it.

Happy KNitting!!

You remind me of my mom Leigh - a knitting machine.

There was a cute baby set I've seen some make on Ravelry that came from Mason Dixon, but other than that I don't know what's in there. Good idea though about the library. I haven't had a library card in a few years.

Yeah the baby blanket I'm doing is just a simple dishcloth pattern and I'm doing it in a deep blue with specks of white. It is super easy and I'll use it as an everyday blankie. I wanted to use the beautiful mint green color of yarn they had in the same brand, but they only had 3 balls. But, what I'm thinking, if I can do it, since I still have a pair of cargo pants to finish and I want to do a sweater, is of doing the same blanket in the beautiful rose color they had. Depending on what the sex of the baby is I'll use the appropriate color and keep the other one as a gift. I've got all my projects on Ravelry so you can see the patterns, etc. if you look at my notebook.

Are the baby legs knit on dpns? I'd like to make a pair - what kind of yarn did you use?

Ok, at first i was like "OMG it's a boy!!" then you had to go and say you might make it in pink too.....shucks. I thought maybe you knew!! oh well.

The baby legs were easy-easy. I used sock yarn (I picked yarn with a cute stripey pattern. Look in my favorites on ravelry - the pattern is there. I have a few patterns of leggings in there, but I did the one that only has ribbing for the first inch or so, then switches to stockingknit... yes, it's with dpn once you get past the first couple rounds it's easy, but man i hate those first few!!

the yarn was at Knitting time

I will look at your favs on ravelry. DPNs don't scare me as that's what I'm doing the cargo pants on. The only thing is that I have trouble casting on, but I find the peices knit up super duper fast.

Sorry to disappoint you about the sex - no we don't know and I have no inkling yet. I knew in my heart when I was pregnant with T, but then I didn't get those feelings until after 30 weeks. I'm 29 now...

Have you seen the February Lady sweater on ravelry? I'm so excited because my mom is knitting it for me. I hope she finishes it soon. I can't wait to wear it.

I haven't seen that sweater, I'll have to check it out!!

I finished the second booty and popped them in the washer to felt - OMG they turned out so cute!! They are stuffed with bags right now - but I'm sure they'll be dry tomorrow. I was a bit nervous, but they worked out just fine!

You can see the February Lady sweater in my favorites.

Once those booties dry you need to post a pic.
