Wii

Anyone have one, getting one, want one?

Also is the WiiFit a game to it or another system?

We've had a Wii since the came out. The kids love it. But then again, they love just about any game system. We have virtually every mainstream game system released in the USA since the late 80's (as well as about 20 full sized arcade games from the 80's and 90's), so the wii is just another console for the "collection". It gets played as much as any of them (except the kids play a LOT of xbox360 because that's the only console we bought RockBand for).

Wii Fit is just an add-on to the game system.

My kids want one but we are still unable to purchase one! I can go daily to the stores in my area and they are always out! Amazing, eh?

I was the complete video game hater and then allowed the gamecube a couple of years ago. I still don't love it, but the kids sure do. What I do like about the Wii is that it's more active playing as opposed to just sitting in a permanent slug slouch position.

Just tried the new wheel at the store the other day with my kids and the Mario Kart racing game is fun! LOL! I might need one for myself now...

Heart

My brother has a wii that we just love to use. Really, it's so much fun and really gets my heart pumping (I love to do the boxing). DH and I will definitely be purchasing one later.

My niece and nephew have and it is sooooooooooo much fun. Everytime I play with them my arm, shoulder, and side is so sore. Some how I need to figure out how to use my other side to make it even.

LOVE my Wii -

Husband just brought home the Wii Fit two days ago - haven't been able to try it yet, but I read the booklet!

It does have over 40 games/activities included with the WiiFit.

What I love about the Wii is that it gets the person playing off the couch. The boxing gets your cardio working - BIG TIME!! and the tennis and bowling are a blast too. My 5 year old loves to play too and after about 30-40 minutes he is getting winded. (only takes 10 minutes to get me winded - LOL)

We have one - my oldest uses it for fine and gross motor skills. It works really well. I wish we had a bigger living room so that it would be a little easier to use.

Crick - check your smaller gaming stores. I heard that the big box stores hoard them and send them out the back door. The smaller gaming stores don't. I got mine at a Gamestop last year before Christmas.

We got our Wii about a month ago, we also have the Wii Fit, we love it.

I was actually able to get ours at Wal Mart the first day we looked. I was told that it was best to check the stores mid-week, and during the day if possible

Success!!! We were at Walmart last week for non Wii purposes but decided to just ask and HOLY COW! They had just gotten 3 Wii's in that very day!! YAY!!!!

So dh got an early Father's Day gift and we all love it! Tennis is the biggest hit for all of us right now.

I do want to get the Wii fit but will wait awhile for that as well as the wheel. My, but the accessories are more expensive than I realized! $40 for a controller? whew! lol!

We have a Wii and I will admit, I am a Wii junkie. I love it! I got Wii Fit for Mother's Day and it is very fun. Not a super intense workout, but still lots of fun.

My friend has one and loves it. She's had trouble find Wii Fit as the stores are always sold-out when she goes, but she also only has time to shop on the weekends, so she'd probably have better luck if she could go mid-week. She did get Guitar Hero, though, and she and other people I know who have that rave about how fun it is.
