Talking Truvy's Place

Hi, All!
Welcome to "Truvy's Place".........a place for everyone to congregate and chat about whatever is on your mind! This is a safe place to ask for support, prayer, and advice....to laugh together, to cry together and to share in fellowship, regardless of your position in the triad.
Having said this.....I cut the ribbon on the door, and pronounce us open for business!
Hugs,
Sally

Hi Sal -

I'll bring the coffee ok?

So - I need your input pals - I have been asked, by someone VERY special to me, if I would stop calling myself Toby - which comes from my last name - Tobin. I know you will all always think of me as "Toby the Tiger" (thanks Sandy!) - but what should I switch to? It needs to be something that rolls along - maybe Tiger Girl? Ideas please!!!

Toby (for now anyway)

Room for one more..... starting to sound like the theme for "The Friendly Giant". Remember that from our childhood days?.... or am I really dating myself.

Sally, great to see you again. One day at a time.
Love "K"

Hey Toby - I mean, hmmmmm.. howabout GggrreatOne!
Or is that too self-laudatory? :0
To-by..or not To-by..that is the question.

Spitz- here's some decaf tea for ya! Congrats...how exciting and nerve-wracking...best wishes...I've added you to my "list"

Hi Everyone ~ What a great place to touch base! Thanks, Sally!

Spitz ~ WOOHOO!!! Pregnant??? How awesome! Loads of positive energy and ((((((HUGE HUGS)))))) to ya, my friend!

Illuminated Feline ~ You have a variety of names from which to choose. Maybe you should develop a whole new identity...something to highlight the emotional purge you have been through in the past year. I'll give it some thought...

Glad we are "finding" each other again.

((((((BIG GROUP HUG))))))

~Deb

Thank you Chrissy for directing me here and Sally for starting this!! I probably would not have checked out the chit chat section - I'm not brave enough to wander too far from the "other place."

Hope all is well with everyone.

How are you feeling Deb?
Toby - I haven't been around long enough to know too much about your name, so I can't be of any help. It took me weeks to decide what to change mine too and I wasn't too creative.

Sally - How's it going???? How's the Play going?

well, thanks for the thread and I'll be around...

Linnie

Well, I found it! I take my coffee black, thank you. Maybe I'll have to go out and find some doughnuts to go with the coffee.

Toby - I kind of liked Sal's suggestion of 'queenoftheforest'. It makes me think of the Cowardly Lion singing 'If I were king of the forest'. But it will be interesting to see what some of the others come up with too.

That's all for now - it's time for my nap.

Chrissy - THE MITTEN - one of my all time favorite books!
I take my coffee by the way, with 2 Splenda and some fat free half and half (now, I wonder, how can it be half and half and be fat free at the same time? Isn't half and half BY DEFINATION half CREAM? )

I like Illuminated Feline!

Off to pick up my daughter at school, then head 20 miles away for my son's b'ball game - which I can stay at less than half because I have to get daughter back 25 miles to gymnastics. UGGH!!! I'm definately a taxi service these days. In the summer at least we usually go in the same direction when the kids race motocross.
