Sally, nice place you have here! LOVE the name! Two sugars, extra cream please. The only person I know that uses honey in there coffee is my uncle, decaffinated with honey. Never tried it, sounds good though.

It's been a bit hectic here. Hubby just arrived back home today from the super bowl. He left thursday, needless to say, I was a one armed paper hanger here by myself with the 4 kids. Running them here, there and everywhere, homework, not to mention keeping up with house, laundry etc. UGH....now I need a vacation! lol

My daughter Heather just started driving, I decided to get brave and take her out driving for awhile, I was surprised how well she did. It is usually hubby that does the driving lessons with her. She started drivers ed at school a couple of weeks ago. Not sure I am ready for this, but something tells me ready or not it's happening! lol My hair will be totally grey in a month, I just know it!

Mary, Macy is adorable, just look at that face!

Toby, how about "moooovin on" as a new name? Bessy would like that one!

Chrissy, your screen is looking funky because of Macy's picture, it makes the screen go wide, till we move on to a new page, then all is back to normal.

So glad I found you all...thank you Deb! I was in a little panic there for a few!

Mary ~ We are getting dumped on with snow starting tomorrow and into Thursday. I'll see what I can do to send it your way instead! I've had my fill of it!! The kids had a blast snowboarding, and Jim was great. He told me a few stories when they got back. Eric didn't want to wear a helmet, Jim insisted, and when Eric fell back and hit his head, well, he was happy to be wearing a helmet! Jim said that they did great for their first time out!

Pink ~ My hubby is predicting no school for the kids on Thursday. He is usually right. OMG, what are we going to do?

Okay, my project isn't going real well, turns out I'll have to talk to actual people to complete it. Man! So now it's 3:30, and I need to get to bed, but I'm all wired, so I'll go up with my book, turn on the little light, and my dear hubby will sigh and groan. Man! I am a reunited birthmom, reunited with my son this past August. He is also 22. I also have 4 more children 16, 12, 8, & 5.

Mary~ I am pretty good, thanks for asking. Yes, very busy, today is dentist appointment for my daughter. Which means I will have to have son dismissed early because nobody will be here if he takes the bus home. It just never ends. Not looking forward to this appointment, after spending 5 grand on braces for her, her wisdom teeth are growing in sideways, moving her now beautiful smile! So we are looking into having them removed. How are you feeling?

LeeAnn~ Certainly looking like no school for tomorrow. I don't know about you, but I have had enough of shoveling! I would much rather be in the garden planting. Sorry, your project didn't cooperate, you must be exhausted today! We will have to be sure to tuck you in early tonight!

When hubby left Thurs. wouldn't you know we had to wake up to snow on Friday. We ended up having 1 1/2 hour delay for school. My daughter missed her bus, so I gave her the keys to start the car and clear it off. She locked the keys in the car while it was running I was already a little upset with her for missing the bus, I had told her to be outside waiting at 8, but she was so sure her bus wouldn't be here till 8:10, she waited....her bus arrived at 8:02. So 2 hours after she locked my keys in the car, I was rescued by AAA. They had been bombarded with phone calls, lots of fender benders and cars broken down.

Time for my son's bus, I will check in again a little later. Hope everyone has a wonderful day

It's not a prerequisite that you drink coffee, however!! We have a well-stocked fridge with all kinds of sodas and juices, and the bar is open all the time, since it's always happy hour somewhere in the world!!
I'm a lousy housekeeper, too! I'm and adoptee, raised by a pack of neat freaks, and sadly, none of their habits seemed to rub off!! My husband refers to my parent's home as the "mausoleum" -- everything is white and pristine....nothing ever out of place and never a speck of dust. Our house, on the other hand, looks like a bomb went off, and that's on a GOOD day!!! LMAO I have three dogs and a cat who share our home, and I always have little (and big) dirty doggy paws making a path all over the place....hair balls, burs, you name it.....
But that's my world and I am okay with it!
As I said, I am an adoptee.....born and relinquished in 1964. I have located my maternal birthfamily -- birthmom (Mary Ellen) has no desire for contact......and I have limited contact with one birth cousin. No idea who my birthfather is, and no one is talking. Maybe one day......
At any rate -- welcome to Truvy's!! Glad to have you with us!!

I LOVE sambuca in my coffee!! Used to drink that all the time when I was a cocktail waitress and a bartender - everyone would think I was soooo good "just drinking coffee."

Welcome Paige. I'm "new" here too - just started hangin around in November when I accidentilly found my bmom (I was looking for a friend online came onto the registry site and for the heck of it, put in my info... ). Anyway, glad you are here!

LeeAnn - We are looking at no school tomorrow too. And THIS time, I'm staying home too so I can sleep in! Sorry your project wasnt' working out - I HATE when that happens!

My son is doing a research project for a science fair at school and has to make a paper mache` TICK. That'll be fun. (NOT )

I did that once.....locked my keys in the car with it still running!!! I pulled up at the grocery store on a dead run after work one day.....thought I would just run in, get the things I needed for dinner that night, and run back out! I had my mind on the groceries, and just jumped out of the car, without even thinking!! Talk about a BUMMER!!!!!! And of course, as I was sitting on the hood, waiting for my husband to come rescue me, there were several people passing by, snickering as they realized what I had done!! The radio was blasting.....and I guess my face made it obvious what had happened!!!
Proxy....you were up too late, young lady!!! There will be no more of that.....it comes back to haunt you later, you know!
Snowy -- you can have MY snow!!! It's snowing right now!!! We have had way too much this season with all the snow and the huge ice storm that paralyzed us for weeks. I am really beginning to dislike Indiana's winters, the older I get!
Clion -- glad you found us! I was worried!
More later! I have thank-you notes from Mom's funeral still staring me in the face, and I would like to be done with them today, before I head out to Indy. I am going down a day early this week to go to Ash Wednesday services.....I feel the need for some good old fashioned middle of the week churchin'!
