Everything went great...except I haven't seen my new husband since the wedding! Too many visitors, not enough time...They are starting to head home, though...

Okay...I'm back! I am sitting here at my computer eating my lunch...a great big giant salad that is full of healthy stuff and not bad stuff...It has a total of 550 calories and is so huge that I'm kind of tired of chewing, even though it isn't gone yet...It will definately hold me over until it is snack time. (I got a bag of pea pods for my snack!)

So, can you tell that I gained four pounds since I started the wedding weeks? Now I am buckling down again and going to start to shed some of these pounds. (My guy has been steadily losing about three pounds a month for the past four or five months, so that is good incentive, too. He got into his smaller sized pants, even!)

The wedding was fantastic. I don't have any pics yet, though. The weather was crappy until just before we started taking the pictures and then it stopped raining and we didn't have another drop until the festivities were over.

The ceremony went smoothly and was as beautiful and wonderful and personal as I had hoped, the reception was fun with tons of yummy food and we were up until 4:00am!

All in all, a huge success.

4 pounds.... that's terrific. You'll lose them in NO TIME. I believe in you. Yes, I agree.....chewing on a salad is soooooo monotonous and mundane. From time to time, I resort to blending my salad and making a "vegetable lumpy". Good for "MR FREE".... at least all your sensible eating is benefiting one of you and someone is reducing.

Having been immobile since March, I have gained a few nasty pounds as well. I go to my DR tomorrow and get my comp release papers and can go back to normal duties. Unfortunately, my direct supervisor is away for most of July and I have been filling in for her. I will do some office duties and some road work, which ultimately is the best way for me to introduce my injured knee to exertion. I set August 1st as my return to the "gym and trainer" date. In the meantime, I'll start working on those ol' situps and crunches and start a rigid diet plan.

I keep reminding myself that I have a goal and I WILL achieve it (as will we all!!).

Hi all sorry i haven't been here. been really busy just had our third an final child this last Nov.17 2008 another boy. yes i had my tubes tied. Now i'm all for getting on track with getting in shape an losing weight. my current weight is 204lb. an my goal is 130lb. i'm writing every single thing i eat an drink down finally!!! been putting it off for a long time now.i really don't have a date that i'd like to obtain this goal i'm just taking it one day at a time.now i need to get out an exercise!!!!which i still have'nt been doing i've been sitting here at the computer playing games instead of exercising. i guess i need a drill sergeant to kick me into shape.LOL!!!!!hope to hear from everyone.

Yep...knocked up! I guess that means I won't be trying to lose weight for a while...But, my doc said that I should try not to gain very much weight at all...maybe 10 pounds or so between now and July. That's not much.

The babe is due July 24th or so.

I completely stopped exercising a few weeks ago because I felt like...poo. I'm starting to feel better now so I am trying to get back in the habit of moving my butt. I went for an hour and a half long walk yesterday (partly to celebrate the 45 degree weather we had.) It was great.

How is everyone else doing?

actually you probably will do better than when you try to diet. Don't feed yourself anything that you would not feed a baby. it could work, no?

But...the baby wants french fries!

I have been trying to eat well. I am doing an absolutely fantastic job with the fruit. (That's what the baby wants most. Blueberries! Strawberries! Apples!) I have also been getting plenty of calcium. (A pint of milk with a tablespoon of choc. syrup satisfies my sweet tooth and cures my heartburn. And makes me pee in the middle of the night.)

I try to avoid the fries, but am not always successful. Living 20 miles from the nearest fryshack helps, though.

yup the board has been pretty quiet of late.
still getting over that vertigo thing, been over 3 years, what fun. doing a lot better though.
not sure when I will head off to my sister's in Kingston again, will let you know if I am headed your way.
