Could someone just come and give me a swift kick in the A$$ pleeeeeeeze ?[/quote]

Just get DH to put you out of the car on one of your MANY trips and let you walk the hills..... especially the truckers road leading into town from the south.....That'll get your butt moving, otherwise, you'll be tumbling down.......

I returned from vacation feeling (looking) like a puffer fish, but the good news is, I didn't gain any weight. I look like I am 4 mos preggie. Like you jane, I have to get my butt moving into a more strenuous routine. Walking just isn't doing it for me, right now.

stay positive everyone......

I just spent the weekend being a little piggy and eating everything I wanted to. We had a housewarming party, so there was a lot of food around...I'm back on the wagon again though...I'll be very careful this week and see how that works...

Well, would you have brought goodies? I only invited people who I KNEW would bring all sorts of bad, bad food...I guess I thought wrong when I assumed y'all would bring celery and soy dip and whole wheat fiber nuggets with rice crackers...

Wait! Deviled eggs aren't healthy? I made three dozen of them (6 dozen if you count each deviled one individually-3 dozen whole eggs!) for the party...They ALL got eaten...

But, on a more positive note, I am still holding steady at 233.5. My scale was wavering and really wanted to go down to 233, but it held on...I bet if I do a really great job eating properly today, my weight will go down tomorrow...

Free....maybe there is something "stuck" in the scale to keep it on 233..... with all your hard work, it should be moving an oz or so.....

we need to get rid of Halloween

I hate halloween! We only hade two kids show up and you know what that means

Free, deviled eggs aren't bad it's just the opposite.
The mayo is the culprit. They are so goods I eat too many. one (2 halves) is probably the the best approach.
and yes thay all get eaten in a flash.
The good thing about all this is that is we all had such great restraint we would not know each other, tee hee

I just bought a wedding dress! I bought it on e-bay. I had been looking online at a bridal site and found my favorite one and then was looking at e-bay (for the first time, ever) and found the exact dress! I hope it fits. I hope I like it. I spent just over $100 for it, including shipping, so if I hate it, it's not that bad.

Still, I hope I love it, I hope it fits and now I need to start seriously working my arms! Sleeveless? What was I thinking.

Free, quite the score on the dress. The universe is smiling upon you. Do you have a picture? Also we haven't seen your house yet either, hint hint.

My girl friend just lost 50 lbs with Nutri System and has been doing Pilates 3 times a week. She looks great but what is most obvious is that she feels good about herself for the first time since I have know her.
She says it's all about portion control. She is now able to prepare some of her own food wisely, something she did not trust herself to do in the beginning. She also joined something we have here locally called Healthy Lifestyles, run by a local gal who lost a lot of weight and has kept it off. Here is the link
Healthy Lifestyles - Weight-management Counseling Practice Vermont VT Lose Weight Sensibly and Permanently
Not sure what kind of resources they have in Alaska.
Our local hospital also has a weight management series based on behavior modification. It may just be a question of trying different methods till you find one that floats your boat. I find I get bored with doing the same thing so I look for new things constantly.
Stick with it, you'll get there.

Yahoo on the dress! And good luck on the arms!

My mom has joined the weight loss bandwagon, so I have some one in real life to harp on me, too. So that should help. She's going for 20 pounds in 3 months, though. My sister's comment was, If it doesn't come off in three months, though, don't be discouraged. Just keep up the good habits. It didn't get put on in just three months, so it might not come off in just three months. Good to remember, I guess. But I DID gain 20 pounds in jsut three months... a litle over a year ago - so I would hope I could lose at least THAT, but it is slow going. I saw my first drop on the scale in a LONG time! 2 pounds this week. FINALLY! I hadn't checked for a couple of weeks, cuz I was mad at the scale.
