Okay, okay...I'm back. I flew in on Sunday pretty late, then worked on Monday and Tuesday. Now I am sick so I am not working tonight, but will be back at it tomorrow.
So, the terrible news is that when I stepped on the scale on Monday, I was up 6 pounds. The better news is that when I stepped on it today I was only up two pounds from before my trip. So, I can handle that. Right now I am barely able to sit up straight at the computer, so exercise is really out for me. Good thing is that I don't have much of an appetite so my intake isn't too bad. I've been drinking a lot of sprite to help me stay hydrated...something about the bubbles lets it go down. I have been choking and sputtering and coughing on water, so I tend to avoid it. I had a bowl of chicken noodle soup last night and some smoothie. And a piece of fudge. Don't know how that fits in. I just put my fat cat on a diet. He gets 1 scoop of light cat food twice a day. The other cat, Saint Jasmin, has a bowl of food that only she can reach (because Sam is so fat he can't get to it) and can freefeed. She has great self-control. I just checked out my calorie calculator...I need to eat about 2272 calories to maintain my current weight. So, I should be losing weight if I just knock off a few of those and try to stick to 1900 or so, right?

Aside from having such a bad week, I really did miss you !!!! Tell Jasmin I said #$y^*p = 2 1d *~u 7%$ !!!! The calorie thing sounds about right. I think if you can stick to 1900 that would help alot. I really need to get down to around 1700 myself, and that is really hard. But I KNOW I can do it. It really want some new spring clothes, and the looked so pretty in the store yesterday. So I will do it !!! Sorry to hear you aren't feeling well. Nothing serious I hope, just a temporary thing ??? Yeah, my sickness is nothing serious. Just a nasty cold. Dizziness, tiredness, runny nose...Earlier I was feeling a lot of pressure on my chest and after working though my disorientation, I realized I couldn't breathe well because Jasmin was laying on my chest. That kind of cracked me up.
So, anyways, I should be feeling better in the next couple days. I just slept 20 out of the last 24 hours and am feeling better, but obviously have NOT been moving my butt. Soon, soon. Hope everyone else is having a good day. |

I think you sent that "bug" to me !! Scratchy throat, runny nose, starting to cough some. Feel like crap !!! Should I see if "chocolate" will still go down my sore throat ???? Nope - didn't even buy any candy for Easter. Hubby isn't happy, but he knows where the store is, and knows if he buys it he has to "hide" it from me. So I think it is too much "bother" to him, and as long as he gets his pickled eggs he won't really care. (He is trying to diet somewhat too, but I can't get him to move his butt at all !! He claims since he's "retired" he doesn't have to do anything he doesn't want to. I let him think that -but he still "hops to" when I say so Have to visit mother-in-law at nursing home now. Probably won't be back til later tonite. Going out for supper, but to a place with a big salad bar. That's what I will be eating, I promise !!!! Be sure to tell Jasmin I said HOWDY !!!!!! |

I'm sorry you are sick. The good news is that mine doesn't seem like it is going to last too long. I think I might only need ONE nap today. I am going grocery shopping (for work, not for me) and to the ceramics studio and will be doing housework today. Not real exercise, but a zillion times better than laying in bed all day. I am healthy enough that I can swallow water and don't need the Sprite anymore. Jasmin was worth her weight in gold in helping me get better...I would send her to you, but with Easter and all, I don't think she would get to you in time. Enjoy your salad bar... |

I forgot to post my weigh-in update! I stepped on the scale yesterday and it was exactly at my pre-trip weight. I guess getting sick was good for something. (I would much rather be healthy and have to work to lose those pounds.) Hmm, speaking of pounds, doesn't it sound better to say "I lost 16 ounces" versus "I lost 1 measly, little pound." Okay, I will stop. Anyway, I feel like I am on track and on target and ready to keep movin' my butt and eating sensibly.

Throat is still very sore, but the doggone food still goes "down". Didn't buy any goodies for Easter though. I did make hard boiled eggs, and will "feast" on them, pretend they are dipped in chocolate Yeah- 16 ounces LOST sounds better, but certainly not when it is "gained" Good for you on getting back to that pre-trip weight!! Haven't been doing any exercise for the past 3 days. Just feel like a piece of cr - - !!! I wonder how many calories I burn blowing my nose and coughing my head off !! It's got to count for something !! Off to "snuggle" into the sofa now for the evening. Sure wish Jasmin were here to keep me warm !! Give her a hug for me, and tell her #@e$+h^*~!! WHERE THE HECK IS EVERYONE ELSE ????? |

I couldn't tell you where everyone else is. Maybe they have forgotten about their New Year's Resolutions...HEY EVERYONE! IT'S NOT TOO LATE! YOU CAN GET BACK ON TRACK!
Okay, that's the best I can do to get people back...Hmm, I guess I could PM everyone. That sounds like a lot of work, though. Anyways, a friend of mine has suggested going to the gym twice now. As soon as I can breathe a little better I will go. Tomorrow we are going tromping around the woods to look at some property. I don't know how long we will be out, but it could turn into a good hike. Yesterday I ate an Easter dinner that couldn't be beat. I ate way too much, but it was all healthy foods...white turkey meat, yummy salad (that was so good it didn't need dressing) another yummy tomato salad with a light oil and vinager dressing...I rarely overeat like that, these days, so I don't feel too bad. Jasmin told me that she was pretty sure you wouldn't kick her off the couch like I did (accidentally) last night and that she wishes she could make you feel better. Talk to you later. |

Oh free- You won't believe what I did !!!
I felt so bad today, physically and emotionally, had to go to the store for a few things, of course they had all the easter candy on sale, I bought chocolate !! Worse - I ate it !!! I downed a half pound fruit & nut egg in one sitting !!! I am so p*ssed at myself !!! I just can't believe I did that !! (But it really was good !) I can feel myself putting some of the pounds back on !! Tomorrow the weather is supposed to get nicer. I am going to walk, I promise. I NEED to get out and walk !!! I think Easter brought me down a little, not feeling good, and not seeing bson like I thought was going to happen. ( I know, NO excuses !!). So, it is done, I will try to eat nothing more tonite. Just had to 'fess up !!! Tell Jasmin I "apologize", and hope she still "loves me" !!! -haha |

As far as the chocolate is concerned, will it make you feel any better to know that I ate 9 girl scout cookies after my healthy and reasonable dinner? I felt like puking afterwards, but I enjoyed every bite of them. So, we screwed up today. Tomorrow, what are you going to do about it? My plan is to go for a nice long walk tomorrow (with my guy!) and to move 4 cords of firewood. That should burn off a couple cookies... Tomorrow better be a better day! I know we can do it if we try... |

Janie, are you feeling any better yet? I am still feeling a little down, but not missing work or school or anything so it's not that bad.
Yesterday my guy and I moved almost 4 cords of firewood...4.5 hours of manual labor counts as exercise in my book. The day before, we walked 2 miles through thigh deep snow. That was enough exercise to burn off an entire pizza! (But I only had two slices!) Tomorrow is weigh in day...We'll see what happens. |

Free- Yeah, I am feeling better. At least "physically". Still alot of "emotional" crap going on with my reunion, but I am doing much better.
I DID do the walk with my friend and her 2 dogs on Tuesday. Walked almost 2 miles. Alot of the snow in the woods is gone, just mud and water now. But it was GREAT to get back out there !! I sure could tell I haven't been walking. The old muscles started to ache after the first 100 yards !!! Yesterday, hubby and I went out to eat dinner. Went to Applebee's, as I needed some "comfort food" other than chocolate !! I ordered just the "riblets", NO fries, and a nice big salad with low cal dressing on the side. Walked alot in the mall (I know, not "power walking" when I have to look in every window ), but walking none the less.Last night ate a plum before bed. Today, just finished a roast turkey breast sandiwich on whole wheat and diet Dr. P for lunch. Now am going to tackle cleaning the kitchen. Wash walls, windows, the whole deal. So that should count for something !!!! Guess I was just really "bummed out" last week, and needed an "excuse" to fall off that wagon. But I am back on board - no weigh in for me for at least 2 weeks. I know I would just get discouraged again, as I am SURE I put some of the pounds back on this past couple weeks. Good thoughts to you for your weigh-in. WOW - sounds like that was alot of work yesterday with the wood . I sure "count it" in my book !! Glad you are still here with me. I really need ya !! Give Jasmin my best, is she thinking about spring, or doesn't she really care ??? |

Jasmin is more excited about spring than I am...She hates getting cold feet and I certainly don't have any snow boots for her so all winter long her outside excursions are about 30 seconds long. Now she spends up to a couple hours at a time outside when she wants to. During the summer, she is out as much as we let her be. (I only let her be outside during the day or when I am home and awake.)
I did a great job of eating last night. Usually I eat at about 6:30, 11:00 and 4:00am and I am generally hungry at those times. Last night I made fudge and a couple other snacky things but I only ate two meals (7:30pm and 3:00am) and hardly snacked. I just licked the fudge bowl-didn't even have a piece when it was done! I just stepped on the scale and I am up one pound. I am okay with that, though. It will go back down. I hope you are doing well today. I am glad that spring has sprung so we can move our butts outside. |
