My husband and I are adopting our 3 foster children in 41 days! (Not that I'm counting or anything... ;-)
We have decided to change all of their middle names and have decided on the middle names for our 6-yr old son and our 3-yr old daughter. The trouble we're having is with our 2-yr old son, Nicholas. I'm particularly partial to biblical names and had I been able to have my own bio son I would have named him Elijah. However I don't feel that "Nicholas Elijah" flows. My sister is pulling for "Nicholas Josiah" but here again, it doesn't feel like that flows. Our last name is 2 syllables so that would be a total of 8 syllables for his full name. What do you think? Do you know of any middle names that flow nicely with Nicholas?? Any suggestions would be helpful! Thanks!! |

How about Nicolas Isiah (SP?) It is a biblical middle name, but not all that common.

Hi,
I think Nicholas Elijah flows nicely (of course I don't know your last name). You could always change his name to Elijah Nicholas and keep calling him Nicholas, just another thought in case you think that would flow better. Michelle

I agree with above reply- I love Nicholas Elijah- I think it flows very well. And I love the name.

I just wanted to add that I love Nicholas Elijah also, I think it flows well. It sounds like a very strong name.
Another suggestion would be Nicholas Asher. It is from the Bible and it means "happy." Amy |

I read the first sentence and Nicholas Eli or Nicholas Elijah came to mind. Then I kept reading and saw the rest of the message which had Elijah. lol.

I know a litlle boy at work, I am an Elementary School teacher, his name is Nicholas Hunter. Not biblical, but I always thought it was cute.
