Unhappy Must be fingerprinted again!!!!

I'm unsure about the lastest news from INS or whatever the name is now. One message says get fingerprinted again if it's been 15 months. Another said the China embassy is issuing visas without the new fingerprints. What's the real scoop?????
Why is the crackdown at INS always on adoption and adoptive parents????? How many baby Chinese terrorists have come into the country lately???

Exclamation

Been there, done that. Our INS approval expired during our wait and we had to go through the whole process again. Frustrating, but just part of the long road.

p.s. our daughter is home now and shows now terroristic tendencies, unless you take her food away.

We just got a letter from our adopting agency that included the letter the BCIS (formerly the INS) sent them. Apparently even the INS is changing its name to the Bureau of Citzenship and Immigration Services (BCIS) of the Department of Homeland Security.

The letter states all adopting parents must confirm the validity of their fingerprint clearance with the local BCIS office before the US Consulate in Guangzhou can schedule an appointment for when you are in China.

From what I understand, *we* don't have to do anything at this point because we are not far enough into the process for it to matter yet. However, for those whose travel dates or referral dates are getting close, confirmation of their fingerprint clearance date is required. I chalk it up to the increased security measures being done across-the-board. I don't think they're targeting adoptive parents.
