Question china travel time

recently heard a rumor that china was shortening the waiting period from 13mos to 8mos. Has anyone come back within this timeframe or heard of anyone that has.

All of the agencies I've talked to say 12-13 months. I'd be ecstatic if what you heard is correct!

When we had our home visit at the beginning of January, our social worker, who is also head of the China program at Spence-Chapin, said that the time had been cut from 14 1/2 months to 13 months. I would love it if it was shorter, but I'm just going to go with the flow and whatever happens, happens. Our dossier should be sent off in the next couple of weeks, so I'm figuring a referal no sooner than April 2004.

Our agency keeps waiting parents updated weekly on the timeline. Right now the CCAA is matching families from Feb. 2002 which means they are still 13 months behind. We were excited last month because they did two months (Dec./Jan) in two weeks. That got our hopes up. Unfortunately, Feb. has been in the match room for the last three weeks and no end in sight yet.

Seems highly unlikely. Over the past three years, the timeframe has only been getting longer. Given the current state of world politics, I can't imagine it moving any faster.
