RE: info on China adoption

I recommend 2 agencies, one is ASIA in Lake Oswego, OR. and the other is Childrens' Home Society of Minnesota. They are both GREAT agencies. Time frames for adopting from China are taking 12 months plus. Costs vary on if one or both parents travel to China to complete the adoption. Range would be approx. $14 to$18K. My daughter's website has lot of useful information about adoption from China and can be found at: "http://home1.gte.net/seeleyjh/rosie.htm" Hope this helps newcomers to China adoption. JHS

I did adopt from China

I cannot say enough about the wonderful Chinese people and their gift of my precious daughter. A good place to start for information is to go to the "FCC" website (Families with Children from China). There you can find a long list of agencies and information about adoption from China. Go to: http://catalog.com/fwcfc/welcome.html I manage two China adoption-related lists including one for people just starting the process (we call it the paperchase). For more information about the list or anything else related to adoption from China, please contact me at sydneysd@hotmail.com - I'd be happy to provide links and information. The entire process cost me less than $15,000. I used an out-of-state agency and the process took almost one year AFTER my paperwork got to China. The current wait after submitting your dossier is close to 13.5 months but will hopefully shorten next year. Sandi
