We got our official renewal STAMP
OK this would appear insignificant to most people who don't understand the wait time, but we got approval for renewal of the I-600A in the mail today. We don't have to submit fingerprints again till September 2010. And at that time, I'm sure we will have to reapply, pay more money, and wait a longer wait. But for now I'm happy to see one more step toward our adoption.
I'm sure we will have to refile again before we see our daughter's face, but for some reason, seeing the words on paper, "It has been determined that you can furnish proper care to an orphan..." (even though it's a renewal of the first one) seemed so substantial. Hopefully, we'll only have to do this again, one more time. Slowly but surely....we're making progress.

Congratulations on the renewal! I was looking at your siggy and if I am understanding there are 392 waiting families ahead of you? Wow, hugs and prayers for you patience!

Karen, hooray for a 171h renewal. It's a visible sign that you're still waiting and that it's going to happen. Sending a hug, though. It's a tough wait.

I wish it were only 392 families ahead of us. I can dream anyway.
SpecialK is right. it's 392 ...well, now 390 days of referrals still ahead of us.
