Okay, I'm looking into adopting a child, possibly 2, from China. But, I can seem to find the age requirements online anywhere. I'd rather not disclose my age, because some people will think I'm unequipped but that is hardly the case.
I used to take care of my nieces full time. From the time they woke up till the time they went to bed. But now my sister has taken them I'm left with a hole and I'm looking to adopt two children, as I can't have children myself. Anyway, strayed from my topic. How old do you have to be to adopt children in Asia? |

You must be 30 years old to adopt from China.

As Brandy stated, you must be 30-49 to adopt a healthy infant/toddler/preschooler from China. If you choose to adopt a school-aged child or a child with a significant special need, China may allow you to adopt up to age 54. People under 30 or 55+ cannot adopt from China at all, nowadays.
From what you wrote, it sounds as if you might be a single person. Please be aware that China no longer allows single people to adopt children of any age or health status. Every country has different age requirements for prospective parents. And your state may also have minimum age requirements for adoptive parents. In addition, the USCIS will not approve any single person under 25 for bringing an orphan to the U.S. as his/her adopted child. Sharon

When I actually THINK of my age, I theoretically think Im too old to be a mom of a young child, and to even consider adoption again. But when I'm in the moment.......none of that matters to me at all.
Sometimes I actually think Im MORE equipt to be my daughter's mom now that Im older, than when my 25 yr old son was born. I hope you find your path. If it's in your heart, become a mother, and disregard what you think others might think about your age.
